All the HEALTHY BITES! If you know me, then you know that’s how I started this blog and another reason why I continue to make Healthy Bites flavors each month. I seriously think I was born into that role. …. ball.. roller? I was also born to make corny jokes and puns. You’re welcome!

Chewy Energy Bites quick to make in your blender! Dark chocolate energy bites recipe with 5 ingredients, sweet, delicious! Paleo, Vegan, & Whole 30 friendly

Before I get carried away with the chocolaty chewy energy bites recipe, let’s talk shop. I mean what’s new on the Vitamix Shop.

Say hello the oh so sexy, Powerful, Smart, and Chic Ascent Series Vitamix!

Ascent Series Combining sleek design with modern convenience, the Ascent™ Series offers the first high-performance blenders with built-in timers, wireless connectivity, and a family of containers to accompany you both at home, and on the go.

The perks!

  • Three program settings (Smoothies, Soups, and even nut butters)!! It automatically adjust to the container size you’ve selected! Which makes for consistent results.
  • The motor base is able to read the container size your using and then adjusts the settings and blending times accordingly.
  • Digital Timer allows you to blend without thinking. Haha, really! You’ll see why I love that feature below. Honestly, it helped me achieve the perfect texture for these bites. Hence the “chewy” in the title.

Here’s the thing, I’ve been a long time Vitamix user, but this A3500 totally blew me away! Especially with making this chewy energy recipe. I thought for sure I would have to scrap the sides or stop and blend again until I got the perfect consistency.

Chocolate Chewy Energy Bites made right in your blender!

Um, no. I did not. I do not lie folks. The 5 ingredients blended right up (on the digital time function setting), then I placed the batter a bowl and rolled. Yep, simple as that.

So about the chocolatey chewy energy bites.

Ya, we’re going to blend these bad boys up now! Mmm k?

    Lindsay,
I’m on a mission to find any foods that my mother (just diagnosed with early stage dementia) would actually eat that might help out with her memory. This recipe looks like a good start except for the apricot– research out there says that blueberries are potentially good for prevention of cognitive decline– do you think there would be a way to substitute blueberries in this recipe instead? I’m afraid to try! Would probably be too mushy?? 😉

Hi there! I would actually use organic Turkish apricots (High in iron) or Figs. Those are still very nutritious.

Just got a Vitamix for Christmas and these are going in that baby ASAP! My boys and I are on a mission to have healthier snacks in the house, and your chocolate balls look like a winner! 🙂

With this new Vitamix, I’m dying to make protein ice cream.

I”m not sure which is prettier…. or tastier (obviously you can’t eat the vitamix, but it creates tasty things)
