About Us

Hey, y’all! My name is Lindsay Cotter. I’m the founder and CEO of Cotter Crunch and the person behind the screen. Not only am I passionate about creating delicious recipes with real food, but I also received my Bachelor’s degree in Science Nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin, am a certified nutrition specialist through AASDN, work under a Sports Dietician Nutritionist, and am qualified as a fitness instructor and personal trainer. Through my work, I love helping others feel their best by optimizing the food they consume. However, my passion for helping others navigate food allergies and health conditions truly blossomed through my own journey of healing after I contracted a parasite. Today, I continue to share my knowledge and passion for helping others along with the help of my team. Learn more about our mission and journey here! 

Diet Types

Before we dig into the different types of diets, let’s first define the meaning of a diet. Contrary to social media, diets do not always involve weight loss. In fact, the definition of a diet is habitual nourishment or food and drink regularly consumed (Source). There are many reasons why someone may or not prescribe to a certain diet type or way of eating and seemingly endless ways of eating to which others prescribe.
