Quick and Easy Green Goddess Fig Nourish Bowls! These plant based nourish bowls are packed with super greens, healthy fats, nature’s candy (Fruit and Figs), and topped with homemade green goddess dressing. They will fill you up and nourish you all at once. Paleo, Vegan, and Whole30 friendly!
If there’s one thing about March that I love (one of many) is that SUPER GREENS are back in business. Greens and all the FRUITS of the Gods. Or so I like to think. Maybe it’s just me, but a “Nourish” bowl full of FRESH produce, Dried California Figs, almonds, and my creamy vegan Green Goddess dressings feels like I truly a Goddess of the lunch hour. Meaning, I’m getting the best of the best nourishment. Oh how I can’t wait to talk nerdy nutrition talk about this. You ready? Of course you are! Nerd Caps on. Let’s DIVE Into the health of this Paleo Green Goddess Fig Nourish Bowls recipe! Mmm k?
What’s in this power house plant based Nourish Bowl?
- Spinach Leaves – Plant Based Iron
- Parsley and Broccoli Sprouts – Even more nutrient dense than broccoli. Packed with anti-inflammatory properties and the protection of gut health.
- Green and Red Cabbage – Vitamin A and mega does of Vitamin C
- Almonds and Sesame Seed – Vitamin E
- Paleo/Vegan Green Goddess Dressing with added Avocado (coconut milk, olive oil, lemon, Parsley, onion, avocado, garlic, pepper}
- Spiralized Green Apple – Quercetin and Vitamin C
- California Dried Mission Figs/Figlets – Zinc, Potassium, Fiber, Iron, and so much more (which I go into below).
Are you seeing what I’m seeing? Spring Fever GODDESS SALAD in a bowl! But don’t be mislead by the plant based/vegan title. This bowl is packed with healthy fats and believe it or not, PROTEIN and IRON. Gosh I love it when that happens. You see, all these ingredients work together to SUPPORT each other. The Spinach and Broccoli and Fig are packed with Plant based iron. But in order to help you really absorb that iron, you need Vitamin C. Which is why the Green apple and Cabbage are added. They are rich in Vitamin C and create that SYNERGY!
Let’s talk more about healthy Synergy with Valley Figs . Mmm k? And because I can’t get enough of Sun-Maid California Mission FIG!! You all know it’s my favorite. Didn’t you?
Figs are one of the earliest fruits cultivated by man. Um, hence my Goddess approach. But I won’t got into that now. Anyway…
Figs are said to be on of the only fruit that actually increases in health benefits once dried. They are packed with anti-cancer, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungral properties (think mega immunity and cold busting nutrients), Figs are also rich in Minerals, especially Manganese and Zinc. Guess what Manganese does? This trace mineral can help with production of digestive enzymes and therefore help with the absorption of key nutrients. And Guess what Zinc does? Zinc can help fight colds and heal wounds. BAM! Immunity BOOST and Extra NOURISHMENT!
What about SYNERGY with flavors? Oh ya, I got that covered too.
Naturally sweet Mission Figlets really balance out the tart, bitter, and savory of the Green Goddess Fig Nourish Bowls.
Pretty sure these Blue Ribbon Orchard Choice Figlets are kinda my new love. They are not overly sticky, which make them perfect for garnishing salads or just grabbing a handful to dip nut butter (do it!).
That being said, The golden California Figs (pictured above) are just as tasty, yet a little softer. They are great for making a fig jam or use in bars (like my cashew fig bars, hint hint).
Okay okay, before I flip out about figs any more, let’s let that Green Goddess Fig Nourish Bowl recipe SHINE!

I made this tonight for a light dinner. My husband & I liked it but my daughter did not. I added raspberries and blackberries. The dressing was amazing!
Jore
This salad recipe looks delicious! Just wanted to ask about green goddess dressing, maybe I could change avocado part with something? Sadly I don’t tolerate avocado and so many healthy recipes are made with it.
Thank you in advance!
Lindsay Cotter
Hi Jore! The 1/3 avocado add in is optional for the green goddess dressing. It’s listed for a thicker option for the green goddess dressing. You can leave it out totally if you can’t tolerate avocado. The dressing will just have a slight thinner consistency. Hope this helps! 🙂
Carolyn
