Okay, I think Spring is here to stay. We hit 80F twice this week, which means we’ve been training outdoors almost everyday. That’s a good feeling (minus the allergies).
Don’t be jealous, come June it will be 100F in Texas and I’ll be cursing the humidity and hibernating indoors after 10am. Ha ha. The poor kiwi has to train all day in it, so I guess I can’t complain.
But let’s stay positive here and talk about fitness, outdoor fitness, FRESH AIR fitness. You see, I teach two strength classes a week. My Friday class is now predominately outdoors. We use minimal equipment and focus on body strength exercises. These workouts are my favorite. It goes by fast and there’s always a change in scenery.

Any body can do these workouts, gym or no gym! All you need is place to run and a curb. Make sure the curb is on a street or parking lot with little to know traffic. Bonus if you can bring weights and set them up at a park. But that’s optional. Don’t have weights? Carry two water bottles with you.
Okay, you ready? Try this out one or two times through!
NOTE: For those who want to use weights, add a press to your jump jacks, like I did below.

Oh man. This weather is killing me. I would love to take my workouts outdoors!!
I really prefer to workout outdoors, and only stay inside when I must.
So nice to train outside isnt it?! Enjoy your spring weather. We are into autumn (fall), it has been really warm and almost feels summery. I hate the cold so im happy for the warmth to stick around.
I would love to take one of your classes. I think it would be an incredible experience. That is all.

SERIOUSLY NOTHING BETTER THAN WORKING OUT OUTDOORS. It needs all caps, thats how big it is haha. I hope to run a little today, my body is still pretty wrecked from surfing/traveling all week but want to try and break in some new shoes 🙂
next week we are finally going to get into the 70s here!!! cannot wait to do more things outside!

This workout looks great! Now if I can just find a spot outside that isn’t a mud pit. We’re warming up slowly (yay 40s!) so it’s officially mud season! I can’t even imagine 80s.
You can’t beat being outside for a run or bike ride. In Ireland at the moment and its starting to warm up slightly – by warm I mean its not freezing during the day. Clocks changing at the weekend so an extra hour of sunlight in the evening – people are starting to dust off their running gear and ‘talk’ about exercise now so should see some running activity soon. Love it…

I love working out outside – I’m hoping to get boot camp started up again soon. Maybe I will do this workout! I can’t wait for that warm weather to make it’s way up to Kansas!

I’m so adding the weighted press jumping jacks to my stash of moves. Whenever I think that there is nothing new under the sun, I come here, and I get new! You’re great for these creative exercises!

I am soo ready for spring weather. I’m taking my workouts outside as much as I can and dragging my kids with me. I’m sure there will be some playground workouts in my immediate future. 🙂
I do my outside run on the weekend otherwise I am in the gym. 🙂 If I lived in a less traffic area or someplace with hills, I would do more of my cardio & glute training outside! 🙂
On the weather – there is always something we can complain about! 😉 I will be bitc*ing about the smog soon! 😉
I’ll be snowboarding on the side of a mountain this weekend — does that count? 😀 I really, really want to believe that spring is on the way so that I’ll be able to enjoy more time outside, but ugh… the amount of snow and cold we’re dealing with now is just crazy for this time of the year 😡

I think I’m finally ready to consider spring as well. A whole week of snowboarding helped, so although I am still going to find a few more days on the snow, getting outside in the sun also sounds fun now!

I think you’re just rubbing in the fact that, while it’s getting warmer, it is going to rain all weekend. I blame Sarah. It always rains when she comes. Therefore, you should come to ATL and bring sun. See what I did there? 😉

I’ve been doing workout video’s at home, but I love the idea of doing some exercise outside (before it gets too hot!)
I love being able to get outdoors and do some exercise. It’s so nice to get that fresh air and be able to enjoy nature, even if it’s just going for a walk or a hike. Getting out there and moving really makes a big difference when the weather is nice!
It’s supposed to rain all day tomorrow here, so hopefully I can do my long run on Sunday outside instead of being stuck on the treadmill!
it’s going to hit 50 degrees today here in boston! too bad its cloudy and will rain 🙁 bring on the spring!

I can’t wait to be able to take 90% of my running outdoors. It is nicer today but another round of snow is coming through. This has to be the longest winter EVER!
Awesome workout! I love exercising outdoors when the temps are mild. This weekend my outdoor workout will be chasing around Hunter at the park for his birthday party. Hehe. Other than that, I’ll be packing and taking it easy with my family. 🙂

In summer, I always come back from a run and do my strength work out in the back yard. I love to be outside! Now I have some new routines to do out there–thank you! (and I am jealous of your weather)
Ugh, 80 already? It’s been 10+ degrees below normal here all week – was 30 Tuesday morning even. Crazy right? I don’t know if that means summer is going to be mild or slam us hard LOL. Sounds like a great workout. Love putting together workouts that can be done anywhere.
I will not be taking my workout outside yet, but I will bring this workout with me to the gym and sub in a bench. Spring is still being a little shy here, it will come soon enough 🙂
I’m still waiting for some more spring-like weather over here. I guess I can’t complain as we don’t have snow; yesterday was 50 degrees and rainy. But I want sunshine and flowers! 😉

Let’s just say I’m a tad jealous of your warm weather! I want to come to your Crazy Cotter Jane Fonda workout class haha… Workouts this week are still inside 🙁 Snow & sleet yesterday! & I took Drake for a run the other day outside, when we left it was sunny & no wind, 2 miles later it was snowing & a wind storm, he wasn’t thrilled 😉

You know me: Being indoors is the worst when it comes to working out. The gym just down the block from me is underground…no windows…wha?! Harry and I will be out and about for our long run, and another trail run on Sunday. Can’t wait! 🙂

I am not sure I ever took my workout truly indoors, but lets just say I will enjoy it being outdoor a little more now 😛 I love the jumping jacks video, although I am not sure I could do it with a weight. As we discussed, I am about max with exercises right now! They look fun though! Someday when I am not in my competing season!

We both have spring on the brain this morning. A few days of running outside this week made it tough to stay indoors when it snowed again. I’m in denial and dreaming of all things spring 🙂
So I would love to even get a WALK outside haha! It snowed again here yesterday…I really do think it gets warmer at some point but this Minnesota winter was brutal for a first-timer!
