It’s 2016!!!! Did you party like it’s 1999? I’m kidding. But I do remember 1999, and that was a fun party! Okay, I digress. If you are like me, you’re ready for a healthy FRESH POWER start. In ALL areas. Sigh.. feel that? That’s the feeling of a clean slate and clear mind.
Speaking of clean and healthy, I have my 7 easy gluten free recipes that are clean and healthy. But you might already guessed that, right? Actually, these recipes are more than that, to us at least. You see, these are ACTUAL recipes we USE to stay healthy. Not just a one time recipe which we then forget about it till next year. Nope, easy gluten free recipes that we rely on. We rely on these recipes for so many reasons, and all of these reasons tie into our overall health.
mmmm k. You ready? Let’s relive the 2015 GO -TO gluten free recipes so that we can start off 2016 with a stay healthy plan.
Crock Pot Fire Roasted Shrimp Tacos
Super easy light meal. This is usually our go to post workout recovery meal because we adjust the carb intake or make it paleo. Protein packed = happy muscles!
Spicy Rice Noodle Salad with or without Beef
Cold rice noodles are a great resistant starch. Great for feeding the gut with healthy bacteria. Plus it’s delicious. We love any rice noodles with beef or veggies or chicken!
Gluten Free Breakfast Power Bowls
Tired from all the late night NYE partying? —> EAT THIS! These types of breakfast bowls are our go -to for when we are feeling blah. Maybe tired or underweather. It’s loaded with antioxidants, fiber, omegas, vitamin C. Yes, just about everything!
Ginger Lime Tamari Baked Cod
A whole 30 approved gluten free recipe (minus the quinoa of course)! Yes, simple and healthy and wholesome. Plus it takes 10 minutes to make. Our go to for when we come back from a weekend of traveling –> hence the ginger for settle stomach. Plus Cod is loaded with Vitamin B-12 and Omegas!
Paleo Key Lime Pie Smoothie
Add this to the list of post travel foods! This is our go to smoothie for when our digestive system needs a little reboot. It’s made with “KEY” ingredients, just for that.
Surf and Turf Flat Bread Pizza
Another great recovery meal to keep your muscles and body healthy! But actually, I make this a lot for a movie night. It’s a great way to use leftovers plus it’s loaded with Vitamin D and Iron.
Herbed Chicken and Biscuit Bake
Talk about a breakfast or brinner life saver!! Seriously, these little bakes make eating a balanced meal easy. Healthy fats, carbs, and protein are all in there! I make 4-5 at a time and keep them in fridge. Love using leftover gluten free biscuits or paleo bread with the eggs/chicken too! Heavenly.
Okay I lied, I’m going to throw in a bonus recipe to make the GREAT 8! But this one is rather new, yet I’m already obsessed!
BONUS RECIPE –> Crock Pot Sweet Potato Chipotle Chili
You know when you’re congested and your allergies are killing you? Well, add some spice! This paleo chili does wonders for that. It’s our go to gluten free recipe during cedar fever months. Ugh.. cedar.
