Description

Easy Homemade Fruit Roll Ups {Oven Option and Dehydrator}. Made with real fruit and no additives! These fruit roll ups are easy to make in the oven or dehydrator in just 3 steps.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups tropical fruit or fruit of choice, peeled and sliced (ex: 4 kiwi fruit, 1 large mango, or 2 small tangerines)
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 lime or lemon, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon agave or maple syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon water or pineapple juice for extra sweet flavor

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender until smooth.
  2. Pour evenly onto dehydrator tray. (See notes for oven method.)
  3. Cover and dehydrate at 135 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 to 7 hours.
  4. Once the batter if dry and not sticky in the middle, turn off the dehydrator.
  5. Let the fruit batter cool then peel off the fruit and place on parchment paper. Cut into strips with a pizza cutter.
  6. Next take wax paper or parchment paper and place along the strips. Roll it up and use a string to hold together or simply press the ends to the parchment paper.
  7. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

Alternate Method – OVEN OPTION – Set the oven to 140F to 170F (or the lowest temperature the oven can be set) for 5 to 7 hours or until the middle is no longer sticky. Use a baking sheet lined with a silicone mat not aluminum foil.

Baking Tip – I propped my oven open with a tiny stick, about 2-3 inches. Then let the fruit mix dehydrate for 4-7 hours, depending on the temperature. I was able to dry out the fruit in 4 hours at 170F.
