Want to know my favorite Vegan White Cake recipe? It’s this one with Chocolate Coconut Frosting! Celebrate any occasion with this classic white cake that’s both vegan an paleo friendly. It’s simple to make, soft and moist. A white cake without eggs or dairy! The basic coconut cream frosting can be made into any flavor, but I chose chocolate coconut cream frosting for that decadent taste. Again, easy to make with natural ingredients already in your pantry!
This classic vegan white cake is for YOU! And it’s been tried and test 3 times, make that 6 times now.
No joke. So worth it though!
Yep! I did it again, this frosted white cake recipe was originally published in early 2016. I retested, rephotographed, updated content and URL. Now I am republishing it for you today! I’m a day late of Valentine’s day, but oh well. This cake is great for ANY occasion. I suggest you hang on to it, mmm k? Thank you for following Cotter Crunch Y’all!.
Let me back up here a minute. You see, I get a lot of request from clients, friends, family, and readers about grain free, dairy free, and egg free desserts. Especially the basic or classic desserts, like a homemade frosted cake (any flavor). They come to me pleading for flavor and texture and all the things included in an original white sugar, white flour, and egg filled dessert. Except, they can’t have those foods.
I feel their pain. No really. I TOTALLY CAN RELATE!
I feel for my friend’s kid who can’t have dairy or eggs or gluten due to celiac disease. I feel for my other friend’s kid who is trying to limit casein and gluten in their diet in order to help reduce the symptoms of autism (national autism awareness month is coming up). And I feel for all of us who have been down right tired and stressed and are trying to find healthy swaps and recipes with less processed ingredients. Just so we can feel at ease with our diet, even in the form the comfort food!
. You see, we are all unique in our dietary needs, but at the same time, we all yearn to ENJOY life. Besides, stressed spelled backwards is desserts, so let’s stress less and make a classic white cake with chocolate coconut cream frosting! One that’s vegan and paleo friendly. CURES ALL, right?
I am a totally people pleaser when it comes to make allergy friendly recipes. Ya, I know and you know that we shouldn’t worry about pleasing everyone, but hear me out. It’s not that kind of people pleasing affirmation I’m after. It’s about SERVING others. This vegan white cake recipe was made (several times) out of PURE joy! I’ll work on world peace next. Haha! Okay I may be exaggerating a tiny bit, but you get my point. I want to help find solutions for people with allergies or dietary restrictions. I want to make things EASY to make for them. And as mentioned above, I want EVERYONE to be able to have their cake and eat it too!
Yes yes, easy! Heck you can make Beaming Baker’s chocolate vegan cake recipe (also allergy friendly) with just 2 bowls.
Can I get an HIGH FIVE?!!
Today’s classic white cake recipe with chocolate coconut frosting really is easy and really is special. I tested it three times, did I mention that? Wait… I did (enter sarcasm). But I also shared it with three times…with multiple groups of people/kids (all different diets and feedback of course), and then made final adjustments so you wouldn’t have to worry. Oh and we basically ate cake for breakfast for a week straight. Along with the whipped coconut cream frosting, which you can leave plain vanilla or add cocoa too. I don’t think that is a bad thing though, right?
In fact, I bet this cake is healthier than a lot of cereals out there.. but I’ll save that topic for another day. Let’s focus on the positive and the cake. Gah..
Like the fact that all you need are a few ingredients to make this classic white cake.
- Coconut flour, coconut oil, almond flour, organic white vinegar, coconut sugar, vanilla, and salt.
- And for the coconut frosting, you just need coconut cream and cocoa or cacao powder. Maybe a little maple syrup too…just sayin!
Thanks to my friends at Better Body Foods, you can get almost all those ingredients on their product site! Plus they are high quality organic. I’m spoiled by this company since we are now Utah locals. Did you know the company is literally just down the road from us? Awesomeness! So think of it this way, they spoil me, I spoil you. Just sayin..
Mmm k, enough jabber. Let’s get to the easy peasy recipe and feed the soul.Print
