Description

Dark Chocolate Oven-Baked S’mores are made in the oven with homemade marshmallows and gluten-free graham crackers for an allergy-friendly dessert that can be made all year long! Perfect for parties, bad weather, and more.

Instructions

  • Preheat the broiler in your oven.
  • Place 8 gluten-free graham crackers on a baking sheet followed by 1 square of dark chocolate and topped by a homemade marshmallow.
  • Broil at 475 – 500F on the bottom rack for 1-2 minutes until golden and chocolate is melted.
  • Remove and place another graham cracker on top before serving. 

Notes

Vegan marshmallows take longer to melt, closer to 2 minutes under the broiler. So be careful/watchful that the graham crackers don’t burn.
 
My homemade paleo marshmallows melt quite fast. Add the marshmallows last minute (or so) left of broiling. Regular store-bought marshmallows take 90 seconds to 2 minutes. 
 
If you are using thinner homemade graham crackers, be sure to watch the oven as they bake/brown much faster! I recommend using graham crackers at least 1/8th inch thick for oven-baked s’more.
