Description
Make this easy berry frose recipe with six simple ingredients for a sweet, refreshing wine slushie perfect for summer! And add sparkling water for extra fizz!
Ingredients
- 500 ml (about 2 to 2 1/4 cups) Rosé wine or non-alcoholic Rosé
- 2 to 3 fresh mint leaves plus extra to garnish
- Juice from 1/2 a lime
- 2 to 3 Tablespoon maple syrup or honey (to taste)
- 1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 10 ounces (1 1/4 cups) frozen strawberry halves
- Optional: 2 ounces triple sec
- Optional: Sparkling berry water
- Garnishes (optional) - sliced strawberries, mint leaves, or lime wedges
Instructions
- Pour Rosé into an ice cube tray or a glass container. If desired, place mint leaves in a couple of the ice cube molds with the rose before freezing. Place in the freezer until frozen or about 3 to 4 hours. See notes if you don’t have time to freeze the rose.
- Once the Rosé is frozen (it will be “icy”), place into a blender. Add the lime juice, maple syrup, berries, and optional triple sec. Blend until slushy. If you didn’t freeze the mint with the wine, add 2 mint leaves and blend again.
- Pour into 5 serving glasses. Add an optional splash of sparkling berry water to make fizz on top.
- Garnish with sliced strawberries, lime wedge and mint leaf.
Notes
Prep Tips – If you don’t have time to freeze the Rosé, blend chilled Rosé with frozen blueberries and frozen strawberries to create a similar texture.
Storage Tips – If you don’t plan on serving right away, place the blended frose back into the freezer to chill for another 30 minutes. Remove from the freezer once ready to serve and blend again until slushy.
