1) Toss the fruit in lemon juice. 2) In a glass bowl, combine the melted butter, spices, maple syrup, and pineapple juice.
3) Add the sugar/butter mixture to the fruit, gently toss to evenly coat. 4) Pour into a 9x12 baking dish and sprinkle nuts on top. Bake for 1 hour.
5) Remove from oven, let cool slightly then serve. Sprinkle each serving with a little pinch of cinnamon.
For the slow cooker, follow the previous instruction, then place ingredients in slow cooker instead of baking dish. Cook on LOW for 4 hours.
Easily prep this recipe the night before! Prepare the mixture in the baking dish, then place, covered, in the fridge until ready to bake in the morning.
Keep any leftovers in a covered container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
To elevate the flavors a little more, add toasted nuts to the top of the mixture and each bite will taste like dessert!
