EASY MAPLE GLAZED PORK CHOPS

INGREDIENTS: Maple syrup, coconut sugar or brown sugar, bourbon, orange juice or apple cider vinegar, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, kosher salt, boneless pork chops, butter or oil, black pepper

Prepare the glaze in a small saucepan. Whisk together the maple syrup, coconut sugar, bourbon, orange juice, ginger, and optional nutmeg.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Over medium heat. Bring to a light boil until the syrup is foamy. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes or until the glaze thickens.

While the sauce is simmering, prep the pork chops. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper. Set aside. Preheat the oven broiler on medium-high heat.

Heat oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chops on both sides until golden. Generously brush both sides of the pork chops with the glaze.

Place the pork chops in the broiler on the center rack for 1 minute. Remove from the oven and baste the pork chops with the remaining sauce.
