DRIED ORANGE SLICES

(OVEN OR DEHYDRATOR)

INGREDIENTS: - blood oranges or navel oranges - coconut sugar or granulated sugar substitute - ground cinnamon - ground ginger - sea salt

1) Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Slice the washed oranges very thin (as thin as possible!). Lay them flat on a parchment-covered baking sheet.

2) In a small bowl, mix your spices and sugar. 3) Sprinkle evenly over orange slices.

4) Dry in the oven for 2 1/2 - 3 hours. If your orange slices are thick, dry for longer. 5) Remove from oven, sprinkle with additional sugar and cinnamon if desired.

To make sure the rinds don't taste bitter, cut EXTRA thin and add sugar and/or spices to edges before baking.

These dried orange slices are great as a garnish in Holiday drinks. They add flavor and color!
