I figured this week’s theme was Tummy Talk so might as well keep it rollin’, right? I found this lovely poster on pinterest (of course) and just had to share. Yoga has been my primary source of stretching and digesting but let’s face it, sometimes we need a quick fix for the ‘ol tum tum.
Let me know if you’ve tried these.

Loved the interval training poster
good stuff, eh? Thanks Dough!
Love the tabata. I’ll give it a try.
let me know how it goes!
Can I bring up something?…That comparison picture of Tabata, Little, Turbulence..I clicked on it, and didn’t realize it was a link…(I didn’t even know what pinterest or Tumblr are really except that people talk about them) and the girl whose page its from… 8( That is really triggering!(and I hate that word!) No offense, but I mean..I’ve always seen you as one of the more..real, people, as in..well, not like that..I’m not sure how to explain this right, at the moment becuase I am still feeling kinda emotional from clicking around on that tumblr page…I mean, just the name sent up red flags to me…*deep breathe* all the little side links that diet which is around 700 calories a day for 30, and her goal weight…especially at 15 yrs old…I know it is each persons responsibilty to choose or not choose what they read, so basically…I’m asking (???)…are you supportive of that..no, that’s not the right word..well, maybe it is?..I can’t imagine you would be…were you aware that was the source? yeah, that’s a better way of putting it..Sorry if this comes off badly, I’m kinda rambly trying to figure out what to say 8X
i had no idea that was the source. so sorry friend!
:)Okay, just didn’t want to get that kind of image of you in my head, I was like “Wait what?!”
i removed the link. So glad you told me! Hope you can enjoy the rest of the weekend friend.
really it is only one month away!!! wow!! time does fly by.
and love that poster for the tummy, we need help in that area as well!!! haha
HUGS
i know, maybe that should be our morning stretch routine, eh?
I copied that workout down! Thanks for sharing!!!
so if you do it, you gotta let me know. K?
I love both these charts. I am going to print them and stick them in my gym bag. I need to get back into doing intervals. I used to do a boot camp class at my gym but ever since I moved I haven’t found one I like. I’ve started doing insanity workouts once a week to add some intervals into my cardio and weight routines.
yes!! sweet linds. Let me know if you girl them a whirl. Enjoy the cooler TX weather.
Love those yoga poses – I must have accidentally ingested some gluten somewhere, somehow and I have been in so much pain and digestive trouble this AM ! I need them!
oh no!! thats the worst feeling.do a little yoga, hot bath, medicine, and bed!
Hey friend! I’ve been reading regularly but commenting seldom…sorry about that! Just been enjoying your thoughts and getting excited for you and James as you head on another life adventure!
LOVED this post too – great fitness thoughts (I love all high intensity, short bursts of training, Tabata or otherwise!). I added the first round you listed above with the 5 moves, 5 times, as well as the end ab circuit 4 times to the end of my burpee/pushup/row workout. WHOA I’m dead now. 😉 I will be returning to this workout and using it for clients if that’s okay!
Thanks for the fitness inspiration. Your heart just makes me smile Lindsay, and I think you are beautiful. Have a great day!
Bonnie, your words have blessed me beyond my need. I am thankful for such encouragement and just adore you! when are you coming to Austin again? soon, right?!!
I have never even heard of Tabata! Looks awesome and made me sweat just reading about it! ONE MONTH….OH MY GOODNESS! I am so excited to read all about your upcoming adventures:)
Thanks so much for posting this! I’ve heard such great things about Tabata but pretty much all I’ve done with it is sprint intervals and I was unclear as to what other exercises I could incorporate into a Tabata routine. Now I know! 🙂
yea!! its a great quick workout. Let me know how it goes Diana!
FINALLY got my lazy bum in gear to do this – holy sweat in my eyeballs this was an awesome quick workout!! Thanks!!
yea!! its a good one too. Awesome Diana!
Wow, thank you so much for sharing that poster.. i’ve never seen anything like it. interesting! your tough tabatas workout seems killer!! i might just try it 🙂 Have a GREAT weekend Linds!!
your a tabata lover, right? I bet it would great with the TRX as well!
Oh my goodness, your departure is sneaking up so quickly! I will throw a fit if we don’t get together before you leave! 😉
me too!! or i will kidnapp you and take you with me. THat sounds good too! What about next weekend???
The weekend that happens tomorrow is packed with internship appointments, and then next weekend I’ll be in SF. Ack! More options please! Maybe dinner some night during the week?
okay, maybe a thursday or maybe I can come to yoga with you!!
i saw this on pinterest and love it! there is also yoga for digestion……did it many years ago! happy friday my friend 🙂
i do the yoga for digestion. I really think it is beneficial. Just need to make MORE TIME for it, ya know?
So much learning in this post! Thanks, LC!
I love that we can learn from each other. Good stuff friend.
I have been dying to do some tabata! I’m afraid to do it right now because I don’t want to aggravate my injury. I’ve actually never done it off of the bike or elliptical. I should try doing it with exercises on a day when we are snowed in or something and I can’t run or go to the gym!
My favorite kind of interval training is track workouts. I love the thrill of running faster than I thought I could and proving to myself that I am improving every few weeks!
yes, definitely use it. You could even use a couple exercises after a recovery run. Keep things strong! Hope the injury is getting better Tara.
One month?! Make a list of all the places you love to eat and hit them up, a lot:)
I like the interval Little Method, I’m all about quick bursts, rest and then at it again.
There’s a rumbly in my tumbly!
i have a feeling i we will be eating a lot of mexican this month to make up for it. But new zealand food is the best. Great Thai and Indian!! Oh and LAMB! woo!
I’ve done my fair share of circuits and boot camp-style workouts, but I haven’ technically tried tabata. It looks like a really hard workout. I may give it a try tomorrow.
well there is always a first, give it a go TIff! You’ll like it, i know it.
I need to incorporate more stretching into my life, I don’t know why I don’t just do it!!!! UGH.
because it takes time and your time is limited, but I think you’ll like these stretches once you take time to do them. Just one a day!
I’m totally going to rock this workout tomorrow morning when I wake up 🙂 I have a night time snacking fetish that I need to squash so I feel fresh and can wake up earlier to get my fitness in!!!
Any tips on late night snacking???? LOL
xxoo
haha, yes. I go to bed early. But actually drinking tea or making a light protein shake always helps me. Ever tried that?
I’ve actually never done Tabatas! I’ll give your workout a try on Saturday and let you know how it goes. Horray for new fitness inspiration!
Thank you so much for posting the stretching info-graphic. Like you, I often experience tummy troubles, and these suggestions seem like they’ll offer a nice remedy.
Happy Friday, Lindsay! <3
Brutal workout and great infographic! I’ve been trying to start incorporating just one set of box jumps after every run… I have NO fast twitch muscles left any more!!
box jumps scare the crap out of me. haha. I think its because I actually missed a step before and fell. I know, silly isn’t it?! How is everything?? feeling better after that last half, mentally?
i’ve been doing tabata sprints on the treadmill and i really like it for beating boredom, keeping my heart rate high, & maximizing time!
yes, and they are short but sweet. So effective! my lungs burn…in a good way that is. haha.
You’re posts aren’t coming in my reader again! Whats going on?!?!
I love and hate tabatas. I haven’t tried or seen the Turbulence method….but it is very intriguing.
ahh what the crap? not sure why. Sometimes its delayed. Google reader needs to step up. and so do you with the tabata! i have a feeling you’ll LOVE IT!
I need to try these stretches!
i’m going to do them right now. Post dinner! haha.
oohhh I’m totally stealing this chart!! I like the Turbulence Training best – although, Tabata sounds awesome!
have you not done Tabata? oh wowza momma! that needs to be a TT for sure!
we had that same stretching chart on the staff room wall at the clinic! 🙂 actually, I think it was one of the pads we had – that we could rip off sheets to give clients. we had a few of those – so cool.
one month – wow, time flies!
of course you did. Your clinic had everything. Speaking of, when do we expect a spabettie clinic? I want to come!
Tabata’s kill me every time! I had to do them in gym class last semester… I was soo sore!
totally a sore quick workout. I am more sore from this than from a long run, haha.
I have yet to try a full tabata workout. I need to. Love this 30 minute Thursday. Great mix of moves, etc.
I haven’t tried many of those yoga moves either. I better get with the program. ha! 🙂
Have I told you how fabulous I think you are??????? 🙂
what?? how is this possible? Oh girl, you would LOVE IT!! get with the program for sure. oh and I think you are just Fabulous and then some!
Tabata is the bomb diggity man! I love it…just not while I’m doing it haha 😉
Thanks for posting that stretch diagram too, I’ll definitely be tryin those!
i know! tabata is torture….during! after…..sweet burn. right?
Ugh, travelers tummy! I hate that. I need to be better about stretching more and doing yoga. Tony said he would do Tai Chi, but I want him to do yoga with me. This is what happens when your best friend is a dude.
i always try to get james to go to yoga with me. he has gone a few times but doesn’t like the hot yoga like i do. we need to be yoga buddies!
oh you KNOW i am all about those stretches! thank you for posting this, love!
yes, try it! let me know if it helps. how are things? did you end up buying the probiotic?
1 month!!! so exciting! 🙂
i know!! kiora, did i get that right?
I just wrote this down! I am going to try this tonight!! Funny…I just pinned this “push it” exercise a couple of days agO! I would love to have her abs!!
sweeeet! keep posted on how it goes danielle. love that you pinned it.
Ah, tabata! Challenging and satisfying (when you’re done!)…
haha, totally. it kills during it. that burn in your lungs is good though, right?
We do Tabatas at the “office” sometimes – they are KILLER. No joke!! we did squats two weeks ago and I was like uh-ohh…. (Squats kill me, every time).
One month!!
oh ya, squats burn bad! so…
ready to rumble this weekend? yea!!!
I guess I’ve never seen or heard of the Little method and have done the last one but didn’t know what it was called. I really enjoy Tabata and HIIT workouts and need to bring them back into my workout world.
Wow – 1 month????
yes, bring them back. after this weekend of course. Oh so excited for you! how do you feel?
Can’t believe its only a month away!!!
Hope you have a great day love! xoxo
thanks friend. would be better with STRAWBERRY PUFFS. haha, got it right this time. Maybe i will buy the zin tonight too!
those stretches are great – too bad they dont work 🙁 i eat candy and chocolate while doing the back bend things. and after doing the other back bend things, i eat an entire pizza 🙂
LOL! totally thought of you here. I wondered if you ever tried them and it actually made your stomach worse. haha. Hey how was book club?
tabata all the way!! mostly in my spin classes and on the treadmill 🙂
perfect for spin class. good stuff Sam!
Love interval training!!! It is probably one of my favorites! 😀
Great stretch chart as well!
you’ve been doing a lot of intervals lately, good job Gen!
LOVE tabata! the tabata TNT class at my gym literally made me sore for a week.
i know, good stuff! well sore is good when you can at least move your arms. LOL!
