It’s Try it out Tuesday! I haven’t done one in a while. Okay maybe a long time. But I have a few things I (we) are trying out and a few things I think you should try out.
Please ignore the confused “why am i trying this?” face in the picture. Ha!
Let’s discuss. Shall we?
First- > add this move to your warm up routine. Inch worm with push up. 10 down, 10 back. Repeat 2x. Good for the core and hamstrings. Trust me, it will get you WARM!
Second-> Sprouted Brown Rice Mochi with Nut butter and honey. Yes, this is a MUST TRY. Why sprouted? So much better for digestion. And Mochi is easy to bake up and then stuff in the middle with some kind of gooey goodness. I’ve also stuffed Mochi with coconut butter and eggs.
Third-> Breeze Bars. Have you tried? Well, I just love their start up story and can relate to their passion. Love the gluten free/dairy free and peanut free bars. I gave a few to my niece as well. Hearty texture! Another great bike fuel bar the kiwi.
Fourth-> The kiwi and I both are trying out a new supplement by x2 performance. What it is? You can see below, but to sum it up for you –> helps generate ATP production and therefore increase energy and stamina, as well as recovery.
“These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease.”
It’s NSF approved so the kiwi can legally take this when racing. That’s a HUGE PLUS for us. We are so careful about supplements for that reason. I think I’m more excited for him to try it out than me! 2xperformance has elite/professional athletes and a triathlete team who race with it, so we’ll see how it goes with kiwi professional! Fingers crossed. I know a few other bloggers will be trying out x2 performance as well. It will be interesting to see how it plays a part in their fitness!
I’ll also report back about how I use it. Mainly before runs and teaching classes. Cool?
Yes, they are compensating us, but the good thing is there is no pressure with this product. It’s basically to TRY IT OUT to see if it fits into our training properly, ya know?
Fifth –> Pop Chips and balsamic glaze in homemade (organic) Meatloaf. Dang, I can’t wait to share this recipe. OH MY GOODNESS it’s good. This is what happens when you run out of gluten free bread crumbs. You improvise. Worked out well.
What have you tried out lately?
I wonder if i should make this a link up next time? hmmm….

Cheers,

I just did walkout inchworm pushups last night, such a good workout to add in! My trainer has had me doing more work with sliders lately so I guess thats part of my new thing, not new to everyone else but this isn’t something I had used regularly before!
nice! good trainer! good work friend.
OMG brown rice mochi?? I seriously might have to order that. I love mochi and always forget until I see it! I haven’t tried anything new lately, I’ve been boring 🙁
you must! it’s like ooey gooey goodness! and chewy! LOOOOVE
I learn something new with every visit. I will definitely try a few of your try it tuesdays!
I completely forgot about those Inch worm pushups – like it’s been a real long time since I’ve done one. Perhaps 5-6 months? I just had the chance to try Mary’s Gone Crackers. Wow! I first tried the jalapeno flavor and my first thought – oh these aren’t bad.. a minute later – my whimpy self needed a glass of water LOL
That mochi sounds so delicious!! I won’t be able to try out the inch worms any time soon but it looks like a good move. Plus I love your face in that photo.
They have finally brought pop chips to Australia which I am happy about.
I love your face in that pic 🙂 inchworms are def harder than you’d think! I forget about them so thanks for the reminder! Also, I loooove mocha…nothin better on fro yo!
agreed!! and so good to hear from you amy! <3
I still love the look of that inch worm. It looks incredibly hard and particularly grueling, so of course I dig it the most. I’m starting to think I’m an adrenaline junkie.
let me know how it goes!
We did it in Tabata today. It was great; just as I expected.
Awesome!!! Glad you did it
we need to try those push ups 🙂
we’ve tried using our TRX more, slowly learning the hang of it
Mmm I adore that mochi, I will have to try it with nut butter and honey.
This is most definitely a Crazy Cotter post…HA! Lots of kookie, crazy, randomness going on…oh and I’m freezing here in Houston! 😉
AHHH HA HA HA! Check out my inch worm. That video just made my day/ Probably the hardest thing to do, but one of the funniest things to watch. I am obsessed! 😉
i was waiting for your comment. ;-P
Mochi…. Live off that stuff in Japan and tat middle centre- the best bit. I love eating crunchy packaged chips with meatloaf- especially when you crush them in one…. #wholearman to a T
yes!! it’s so #wholearman approved. Cheers to that!
I’m adding inch-worm into my yoga practice, that looks good!
The mochi looks like manju, a Japanese sushi that is a deep-fried, marinated tofu bag stuffed with sushi rice. AMAZING, reminds me of when I was a kid.
oh man, deep fried? i bet that is amazing
LOVE your face in the first pic but what a great video & exercise!!! I eat sprouted bread & I have some sprouted chia/flax – love it! I hear there are sprouted nuts out there! I want!
I signed up to try the x2 performance & never heard back. 🙁 I was curious! Eager to hear more!
I have quite a few things I have been trying & need to write a post but with ExpoWest end of this week, it is gonna be a bit. 🙂
All of these are new to me! Except Pop Chips. But Pop Chips in meatloaf? Totally new! And fab!
OH – I love inchworms but I have never added the push-up! Gonna fix that soon!!
Hmm….we tried barley and bokchoy last week!
I have sample box of X2 ready to go for some of my longer workouts this week – really curious after reading about how it works!!
I think you’ll like it! i felt like i had more endurance. Not jittery at all. just an overall sense of wellness if that makes sense?
I’m going to add that move to my warm up this week! Always looking for new things like that. And I love mochi! We have a friend who makes chocolate and it is delicious!
I had never really thought about the intense rule the kiwi has to follow around supplements?! That is good to know! So interesting to think about that from an elite perspective
i know, it’s crazy. we can’t even have Tylenol or poppyseed!
mmmm, mochi. I kept buying it forgetting to make it, but when I FINALLY did I loved it! Those Breeze bars look delicious!
YUM, I love popchips AND meatloaf, can’t wait for that recipe! the inchworm pushups are so fun! may need to test them out on M ;-P hehe.
addicted to popchips. addicted. yesterday i tried (and made) scrod for the first time. im a huge seafood eater, but cant believe i never had it.
what’s scrod? do tell!
This is a GREAT idea for a link up!
And then maybe people can start trying out eachother’s things and then blogging about it the next week amongst the other things they tried. Me likey.
I also like these videos you are doing.
I tend to get very intimidated by a long list of terms I don’t know — jackhammers…etc. I would love a circuit or plyo workout from somewhere where there was a video demo of one rep of each move. If you see one let me know!
okay I’ll do it just for YOU! <3
I love inchworms!! They are deceptively challenging. And love your popchip ingenuity. Brilliant! So glad that you all have a chance to try out these products and report back!
Those inchworms are sure popular at the WB! BTW, had a Kiwi spotting at Randall’s the other day, shouted over to him . . . “hey, Lindsay’s husband . . . “!
hehe. yes, he told me. He said he saw the fruit source woman. LOL!
That meatloaf!! I am such a fan and this one looks like cake – I can not wait!
I am still trying Crossfit, lol – actually, I am soaked in, but it still feels so new to me and scares me to death everytime I go to class. I hope it gets better soon 🙂
i believe you will get past that fear! i know it. work on healing first friend
I love mochi!! I have tried the cinnamon raisin kind from Whole Foods and it’s awesome. I wish I could find it around here…
Bonus points for the Pop Chip genius.
I often have that look when I’m working out – like, really? I’m totally doing this to myself? Am I crazy??? LOL Love the idea of try it out tuesday!
almost as clever as tasty tuesday, right? hehe
Love Inch Worm push-ups but always forget to add them in my routine.
The breeze bars look SO good! A link-up would be awesome!
oh good! glad you would like that!
I still haven’t tried Pop Chips! #fail I’ve been loving my new protein though, Optimum Nutrition natural vanilla whey. Yummy!
I saw your inchworm push-ups on Instagram yesterday and will definitely try today as a mid-day break! I’ve heard a ton about X2 from Ben Greenfield and Tawnee Prazak’s podcasts so I’m anxious to hear how it works for you!
oh i love ben and tawnee. Good stuff! I think you’d like it megan!
I LOVE mochi! I have loved it since you sent it to me!! Those supplements sound really interesting. Keep me posted! They may be good for Luvy for his marathon training!
We do inch worms all the time in our warm-ups! Love them! Looks like I have a few other things to try out though! First up… those mochi!
Oh those inchworms! My hammies don’t like them 🙂 I am intrigued by the meatloaf. I have recently tried this unique creation called a healthy bite. Have you heard of them? I woke up this morning and my first thought was give me a healthy bite. Yikes! It’s a long time before I get to my afternoon snack!
healthy bites? do tell! hehe jk
Wow that X2 performance looks so interesting. My husband would love to look at something like that. I will have to check it out 🙂
Breeze bars – YUM! They look delicious!
totally thought of you and your husband. He might like to try this and maybe be an ambassador??
I’ve never had mochi in anything but yogurt and ice cream (Trader Joe’s green tea mochi balls FTW!) and I’ve definitely never had sprouted brown rice mochi. Sounds like something fun to try!
it’s so good warm! just bake. LOVE IT
Ohhhh… I need to talk to you about X2. They emailed me too.
It’s been a while since I id inch worms. I’ll man up today and add them into my workout. Balls. 😉
I saw your video on Instagram and can’t wait to try that move tonight!
First time I’ve heard of x2; it will be interesting to see if there are any noted improvements!
us too! i’ll keep you posted. You might like it for training. How are you by the way?? xxoo
i love seeing videos of you – i can’t wait to be in the same place as you (hurry up, Blend!)
i cannot wait to meet you new addition too! and hug your sweet face! Mwuah!
I have never heard of breeze bars or X2, but they sound good! I am still using my sample Enduropacks right now! As I said yesterday, inchworms were a big part of my rehab when I tore my calf so I could return to running faster! As for the meatloaf, wow great idea! You are just full of insight…to everything 🙂
love enduropack! glad it is helping! this is a totally different kind of supplement, so i will keep you posted. Why don’t you live closer? haha
Creamy chocolate Nuttzo… I’m in love already 😉
divine!! isn’t it?
Yes so so good. I was going to “stock up” but noticed that it only has a self life of about about 3 months (which is great) therefore I will just need to get a direct shipment every month! hehe
hey hey hey, I LOVE Breeze Bars! (:
yay! love their story too!
LOL on the Pop Chips improvization. I bet it is good!
breeze bars??! looks good!! and i like inch worm push ups!
