Dreaming Big, yes, there are KEY components to dreaming big. I talked about them HERE. I also talked about what holds you back from dreaming big.
Can you tell I like this topic? But this is only because I’m going through it. And you know what? I missed something. Something crucial. Something that keeps those DREAMS ACTIVE.
It’s call BELIEF. Not in the Dream alone, but in YOURSELF & the DREAM.
“To believe you can do what you’re asking others to believe about you.” – @jeffgoins
You (we) boldly ask other to believe in you and your dreams but how can you move forward, how can you take risks, how can you genuinely pray, how can you breathe passion if YOU don’t BELIEVE you CAN?! How can BE HAPPY FOR and Support others dreams if you are not confident in your own dream?
Slow down. Step back. Focus. And look… Do you see that path, that road? It’s yours.
Don’t miss it. Don’t forget to take in the scenery. Don’t forget to BELIEVE in the JOURNEY, rough terrain and all.
And sometimes, yes sometimes, we need a little back up in order to believe. We need words of affirmation and POWER!
“the more we live from who we most deeply are, the more courage will grow.”

“Only when we let go of what we think we deserve can we really enjoy what we have. @jeffgoins”
“When we embrace the journey and don’t just live for the destination, we discover a deeper life. @jeffgoins #theinbetween”
“The cost of not pursuing a dream is greater than the cost of failure.”
“How is it that you have spent all this time, dodging your dreams?” –
Favorite quote or power words?

You have to believe in yourself…no question!!
thanks friend. Love hearing from you!
My favorite quote for big dreams is from Disney – from failure you learn, from success…not so much! 🙂 You have to be comfortable with the prospect of failure to really dream the big dreams!
great post babe i think i really needed to hear this 😀
i’m so glad. Love you. text me anytime!
Oh yes, believe!! Great reminder… that comes before all the big dreams come together, doesn’t it?
Did I miss this one! GREAT THOUGHTS Lindsay! It does take that for sure – you will not even start sometimes without that so at least try or fake it till you make it! 😉 Honest, there were times I just faked it to get myself to try… I suppose deep down I had a belief…
Right now I’m stuck on “Not all who wander are lost,” and in keeping with your theme, there is a song by Ben Rector called ‘Sailboat’ (which describes how I often feel-wandering to who knows where) in which at one point he sings “The only change I can see/Lost or found at sea/The only difference is believing I’ll make it home” And I know one day I’ll get ‘home.’ 🙂
you will friend, but the journey will make you stronger and wiser!
I’m a strong BELIEVER!
Focus, trust, patience, honour and passion.
I definitely think believing you CAN do something is really a mandatory step before you can move forward!
so much truth in this. Love your posts for their inspiration especially in times of self doubt!
exactly!! self doubt can creep in unless we BELIEVE
I love this post! I have “believe” tattooed on my wrist as a reminder. It’s sort of a ode to something my dad always said: “You can do anything you want to, if you want to badly enough.” Truth.
Favorite quote –
“Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about those who don’t. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would most likely be worth it.”
― Harvey MacKay
i love it! and you live it well!
“The cost of not pursuing a dream is greater than the cost of failure.” <– This. Love it. At the end of the day, I'd rather regret the things I've done than the things I haven', especially since I don't really see the sense in regretting what I've done, seeing as it's made me who I am, and that's someone that I'm okay with. Everything we want is on the other side of fear… we just have to take the leap.
I am HONESTLY on top of the MOON RIGHT NOW! I am sooooo happy and SOOOOOO busy! Of course, not BUSY ENOUGH TO KEEP ME AWAY FROM YOUR BLOG THOUGH – LOL!!! Things are just moving at FULL SPEED and I friggin’ LOVE IT! Busy is best because then you don’t think about STUPID CRAP that makes you sad! <— ALL OF THESE are my POWER WORDS! HA HA.
My dreams are GIGANTIC!!!!! Far bigger than BIG!
Needed this today. Yet again. And your words are always so uplifting and powerful and full of faith and believing…so YOUR WORDS my friend, are my favorite quotes lately. xoxo
You aren’t corny! Needed to hear that today! Thank u
I love Corny Cotter, perhaps because I’m corny myself. Affirmations are so critical!
Absolutely love this! I am ALL about motivational quotes and words.
I find them so powerful.
Actually I just saw this either on fb or IG, not sure: “In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.” – Bill Cosby
I am not much of a “quote” person, but man this one really hit home for me!
I love this!! Thanks for the inspiration and reminder that we need to think of our OWN dreams too. I can’t think of a quote off the top of my head right now, but the ones you have here are great!
Only when we let go of what we think we deserve can we really enjoy what we have – I LOVE THIS. It’s so true. My favourite quote right now is: Believe it, Achieve it. Simple and to the point. Much like myself, ha ha.
“Only when we let go of what we think we deserve can we really enjoy what we have. @jeffgoins” That one, that’s the one where I think so many of us get hung up. It’s easy to assume we deserve x, y, or z. But who says so?
