I’m “KISS-ING” it today. Meaning Keep It Simple Stupid Silly.
Why? Because I can. LOL. No really. I can. Blogging doesn’t have to be a chore. It can be a way to share by doing just this. Keeping it simple SILLY. I constantly have to remind myself of this too!
Write for purpose and a for pleasure
Write for YOU and a little for others
Write a LITTLE and don’t worry a LOT
Write what’s REAL, not what’s…. NOT?
Here goes.
God’s word this morning. Kinda blew my mind. This quote.
“When you begin to understand and live out the eternal truth that you are loved, planned, wanted and chosen by God, His perfect plan and highest purpose will naturally unfold before you each day. Remember, in His eyes, you are special and His plan for your life is simply for you to get good at being you.”
Goodness that’s good. For the full devotional, go HERE.
Next…
Simple Workout. Really. 3 moves, and some HIIT. Done.
Then there’s food.
Did you know it was National Celiac Awareness day? Let’s celebrate! Eat Gluten free tonight or the rest of the week.
Thanks to great companies for making quality gluten free food! Love Grown Granola, Udi’s Bakery, Erewhone (attune foods) cereal, and uh… HEALTHY BITES. Tee hee. Lots of other great companies out there, but these are just a few of my favorites.
And last, a recipe. A grain free recipe in honor of Celiac Awareness Day! Yes, it’s the fig coconut muffins. I finally got around to posting it. Sheeesh!

This recipe looks bomb! thanks so much for sharing. and it looks easy enough for my cooking skillz.. ha. I often get intimidated by recipe’s, lol. I love KISS!! For me last night, it was making lean burgers on the shove for me the boy..simple and good, and a very satisfying dinner! Hope you are having a great weekend!
yes! and those are often the best meals together. Simple and healthy!
I am always KISS-ing! Not only is KISS my initials (I know, my parents are awesome) it’s actually my business name because I wanted to remind myself that working with clients doesn’t have to be so complicated. Many people think that freelance writers are a pain because you can’t watch over them, but I’m showing clients every day that when you KISS, you get the best results! 🙂
I am loving coconut at the moment, so that muffin recipe sounds incredible! I’ll have to try it with dates!
oh i love this! You are KISSed every day. Hope you get to KISS your man soon too.
Let me see… I kept my workout simple today. Yoga! Yay!! It was kind of a requirement though because it was 108 degrees here today, yikes!!
Thanks a bunch for the yummy recipe, I will be trying them out for sure! My FIL has a fig tree, yippee!
Hope you’re doing awesome girl : ) Your partner in crime,

Yes mam! Crazy, huh?
Oh baby, these muffins look delicious! I need to get some figs.
I definitely need to start KISS in every aspect in my life…no more stressing over the small things!
i think you are kissing it! Look at what you’ve been doing, simplifying your mind. Love it.
I love that devotional. Just focus on being you. I was reading a bit of She Reads Truth and yesterday part of the message was about focusing on yourself and not comparing to others.
Love you lady! <3 <3 <3
yes, it’s simple yet we have a hard time embracing it. Love you too lady!
10 miles in the sun on the pavement with music, my running shoes, and my body! Love running because it’s SIMPLE! Happy Friday and have a great weekend! xoxo
Honestly I love keeping my strength workouts simple sometimes! Today mine was Barbell squats (4×8) Band-assisted chin ups (4×8) and push ups (3×10.)
see, another reason we need to be neighbors ! #workoutbuddies
I love KISS-ing. I mean… 🙂
Thanks for always reminding me to keep it simple. And these muffins? Look glorious. What could I sub for the almond meal in the recipe?
you can use any other flour no prob. Or even oats! let me know if you try it christine
“get good at being you” simple yet so powerful! We may not be able to move mountains but we can be the best us that we can possibly be. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend! It’s the weekend. Yay!
i know, this hit me hard. Focusing on loving the YOU GOD created you to be. AMEN!
You know, I should try baking with figs. What a great way to add sweetness to baked goods!
oh my goodness, yea! it’s delicious! Go for it Rach.
I am keeping it simple by trying to focus in the moment today. I’m going to dinner with a friend I haven’t seen in a long time and looking forward to simply spending time with her.
Thanks for the link to the girlfriends in God website. I signed up to get their daily devotions. Their site looks great.
yes, that time is precious, so simple! Enjoy friend. and ENJOY friendship.
i’m keeping my thoughts simple today. not over thinking anything and just enjoying my productive day at work and then rehearsal dinner for my little brother tonight (he’s getting married tomorrow!). i will enjoy drinks and a nice big steak dinner at the restaurant later tonight 🙂
savor it! Savor the downtime with family, the meal, the atmosphere. Rest and enjoy friend.
I’m gonna miss figsssss!
me too! especially with bacon or goat cheese. sigh
I love coconut flour- and figs! Do you buy yours frozen or freeze them yourself??
I have yet to ever buy/use almond meal/flour but just keep seeing it everywhere. I’ve certainly “accidentally” made it before though- from a former failed attempt at almond butter. 🙂
my friend gave me a massive amount of figs from her tree and i frozen them. they were perfect for this recipe. And you can easily make almond meal with just almonds. I do it all the time. Or you can use regular flour, no prob. Heck, i’d use ground oats too!
That quote is so perfect! Beautiful. Recipe= printed. Thank you for sharing the grain-free goodies!! 🙂
let me know if you try it!
Love KISS! I need to apply it across the board to my life!
haha, me too! I need to KISS my life every waking moment
Aw. LOVE this: ‘get good at being you.’ — so simple but so true and SO easy to forget about in the chaos of our days. I need to live this way a LOT more often. Just ‘be’ versus always going, doing, moving. Simple can be a beautiful thing, huh? Thank you for this friend, always LOVE your words.
man do i forget that. I think its because we get side tracked on who we are. It’s simple, we are who GOD created us to be. Wife, Friend, Daughter, sister, and all.
