Description

One pot Bacon Braised Lamb Stew! A gluten free Irish Lamb Stew full of wholesome vegetables and hearty flavor! Easy to make with a handful simple ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 6 ounces uncured bacon, chopped
  • 1 1/2 to 2 lbs pounds lamb loin or boneless lamb shoulder, cut into 1 1/2 to 2 inch stew pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons gluten free flour
  • 1 cup chopped onion or 1 medium yellow onion
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic (about 2 cloves)
  • 3 1/2 cups to 4 cups chicken or vegetable stock
  • 1 teaspoon sugar optional
  • 1 cup peeled and chopped carrots
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 pound golden Yukon potatoes, quarted or chopped
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1 bay leaf
