Alright, time for another round of MY TWO CENTS. And like I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I want to chat a little more about QUEST Nutrition bars. I will also share my two cents on a new subscription box called Bestowed. These are my honest thoughts, no I didn’t get paid to write them. But I really did enjoy what both these companies had to offer and wanted to share. That’s more valuable, am I right?
You’ve seen Quest Bars posted everywhere by now. Instagram, twitter, Facebook. They are like golden nuggets in the health and fitness community. And like everyone else, I was curious. Why so popular? I must try these! They are gluten free and high protein, but what else is in them?
So many QUESTions I wanted answered. Well, after the lovely folks at Quest sent me a variety pack to review, my QUESTions were answered.
What you see is what you get. And what you see is QUALITY, FLAVOR, and VARIETY. So many different flavors and options. I talk about the 2 different kinds of QUEST bars (the natural and the regular) in the Vlog. Of course, I prefer the Natural Protein bar (made with stevia), but the regular protein bar is just as tasty and similar is nutrition stats. It’s just a matter of personal preference with certain sugars/ingredients.
I also talk about the high fiber content in these bars. Most people can digest this fiber VERY WELL. Like I said in the vlog, my husband ate 2 bars in one sitting (34grams of fiber) and then went and did a track workout, no stomach problems at all. I still have to be careful about my fiber intake (in one sitting) due to my previous digestive problems. But I was able to eat half a bar at a time no prob! That’s still 8 grams of fiber. Nice! Here’s a little info about the natural fiber in these bars.
Next up is the Bestowed box. In the past, I have actually turned down reviewing other health/wellness subscription boxes. As much as I liked the concept, what they were shipping out did not match up to my health/wellness beliefs. But with Bestowed, there is a certified Nutritionist picking out your goodies. No gimmicks, just real foods, real useful tools for fitness/health goals, etc.
Here’s this month’s Box.
And here’s what the Quinoa Lentil Stew looks like. I made it the other night and added chicken sausage. Took 15 minutes. Pure bliss!
And lastly, this has nothing to do with a review, but it is my two cents. This workout. Ouch, still sore. Taught it on Wednesday! Let me know if you try it and then give me your two cents.
Let me know your two cents! Tried any of these?
