Did you ever see that movie, Happy Feet? Hehe, the hubs and I love it. We love animation movies. Yes, I just admitted that. I mean, who doesn’t rent Happy Feet for a movie/date night?
Okay, so the movie has nothing to do with this post, but I had to mention it. I hope it made you laugh. Actually, the point of this post is to make me smile. Yes, I am writing to make me smile, and I hope it makes you smile right along with me. You see, I’ve been ignoring something…..my own advice! At the beginning of the year I made a promise to live more, laugh more, stress less, etc. Well then, life kinda threw us a few curve balls and my emotions were all over the place. Up, down, side ways, you name it. I tried to embrace closure and stay positive, but you know what? I ended up letting my doubts consume me. I started question my CAN DO attitude and I started to question my (our) dreams.
It wasn’t until recently that I realized this. I realized I using up all my strength on these thoughts. How tiring! Who wants to live that way? Nope, not me. Time to let God do the work. In a moment of vulnerability I prayed just that and a felt a weight lifted off my shoulders.
I CAN do ALL things with GOD’s strength. Not mine, not ours, but His! God’s strength. Where we are weak, God is strong. Oh yes He is! No more cant’s, because with God, I CAN.
I stand here today with BIG PLANS. I stand here today ready MEET those PROMISES I made back in January.
I stand here today with…..new I CAN shoes.
These K-Swiss shoes arrived at my door a few days ago, the moment I opened them up I knew they were special (yes, corniness has returned). The bright colors brought a smile to my face, and joy to my feet heart.
These shoes will be worn with a new attitude, with a new perspective, with a new strength, and most likely in a new country (New Zealand). These shoes are my I CAN shoes, and with them I will dance to lif.
I will have VERY HAPPY FEET!

Did I make you smile?
