Well, we’re back in Nassau. We took a quick trip over to Eleuthra (another island) so that the crew could get in some solid hours of training. And boy did they ever! Hours of riding and running all done here (below).
And while the crew was away training, this Sherpa spent her time grocery shopping at the only grocery store on island piggly wiggly (literally a 300 sq. ft. store). So stinkin’ cute! And flying solo at the beach, just walking in the sand. This is how all Sherpa-ing should be!
Anyway, here’s a video a few pictures of the flight, the weekend, and so much more. Prepare to be in Bahamas picture overload.
The co-pilot. Who actually does have his New Zealand pilot’s license.
The itty bitty plane. Oh my!
The views from above.
Post ride treat for a few. Gosh I wish they made GF beer here!!
My solo time well spent.
My hair 7 days into the trip. Not washed still and I am scared to run a brush through it. Wish me luck!
To say we are lucky would just be wrong. We are fortunate to know such amazing people and we are fortunate to work in this field. We have been nomads since last October but I don’t think I would change that for the world. Thanks for following, thanks for putting up with the highs and lows, thanks for encouraging. The Cotter Crew is thankful.
And a HUGE thanks to those fallen soldiers. Today we remember!
Cheers,
LC
p.s.
One more week to go here. More to come.
Gorgeous! Good luck with that hair. haha – hate it when that happens!
i just combed it out. It took me a good half hour. my head hurts. haha
I have to say I am a bit jealous of your life. I think we could all benefit from being a nomad for a while.
Love the hair photo!! I actually hate showering lately – wish I had a reason not too.
Enjoy the rest of your sherpadom on the islands!
My goodness, those are some beautiful views from above! Glad you’re enjoying your trip, that the hubby is getting his training in, and that YOU have such fabulous beach hair!
i guess i can’t complain, right? blessings.
Beautiful pics from above! 🙂
Aww, I saw your tweets about the plane and was nervous for you, but that looks SO COOL!
i think thats why i tweeted, in case i didn’t make it. haha Happy packing friend!
DANG woman, that hair is crazy!
With my laundry list of tips on crazy curls, I forgot to mention — I condition(ed when I had long hair) daily, regardless if I ‘pooed or not. I always got it wet and conditioned the ends with a lightweight conditioner, then fingercombed it afterwards. 🙂
I go days without washing, but ALWAYS get it wet — getting it wet reactivates any products you do have in your hair and allows you to restyle. 😉
Just a friendly hairy tip.
PS I’m so jealous of this trip!
i might just have to hire you to be my hair tamer. Do you do that job? haha
you have had some incredible opportunitites as of late! we over hear love reading about your adventures and yes it is obvious you are thankful. just come over this way sometime 😉
i know i know! i might just have to hitch hike there! i need to come visit you.. Miss you!
Wow it is simply beautiful and I am in awe of all of the views. Thank you for sharing. I hope the hubby is getting in some awesome training and that you are enjoying yourself. Soak it all in! 🙂
he is getting to train others and take it easy on his knee. So that is GOOD! Hope you had a great weekend friend.
It goes without saying that you always give gratitude, thanks and blessings for the opportunities that lie in front of you…and I love that so much about you. You stop, listen, and reflect, and sometimes, in the thick of it, it’s really hard to do. I LOVE your Sherpa’ing and your hair looks sexy, I just gotta say 😉 and that plane ride? amazing!
totally thankful. And very surreal. I just wish i could bring this back and share it with you all!… FOREVER!
INCREDIBLE and AMAZING pictures LC. I am so happy for you and the hubs to have this experience. Continue to live it up and enjoy your time away int hat gorgeous place:)

Good luck with your hair today hah 😉 That’s a super small plane! I would’ve been a little freaked, but that’s cool James has his pilotes license in New Zealand, how neat! Absolutely gorgeous pictures you got! Can’t wait to hear about your more to come!
he sure does. Now if only he could fly us back to NZ! haha
Nice job, Sherpa! Glad you’re having a productive and enjoyable time!
yes, productive and somewhat sporadic… but ENJOYABLE!
I want to see a further away shot of that hair- to see if it’s full on fro by now!
Have a great second week- it all looks wonderful so far!
LOL! You got it. But now it’s like a big ball of nest. Matted to my head!

Wow, I just LOVE this! Love that you get to sherpa solo and with the hubs, and that he’s getting so much out of this training trip too! AND he’s got his pilot’s liscense? How stinkin’ cool is that?? PS your hair looks HOT 7 days in, mine would NOT look quite so cute, I promise you that much 😉
yes, maybe he can get his US pilots liscense and we can fly out to maine for a weekend with you at the lake!?! hehe, i am planning.
Wow those are gorgeous pics from the sky! But um, that’s a totally small plane haha…I would have been a little scared in that thing! Can’t wait to hear about what’s to come Linds <3
yes, tiny! i was kinda in shock!
Ahhh so much fun!! It looks so beautiful! I love those little planes, my Dad is a pilot for a hobby and he has a little 4 person plane and it is really so much fun to go up and see everything from a birds eye view.
I would be right there with you and the hair thing. I hate washing and brushing my hair. That is why I have to keep it short otherwise it starts to look like natty dreads. 🙂
I think I need to take up your job! Sounds like so much fun!
i think you dad needs to fly us around next. I’ll sherpa you!
Hey, there’s that sunshine! Looks absolutely awesome!
Pilot’s license? You’re married to superman, I knew it!
i kinda did. multi talented! i bet yours is too. 😉 Cause youre superwoman!
Love it!
I believe the timeline though (for us) would be 20 days. 20 days until we leave for Buffalo Springs Lake 70.3. 20 days until our entire place is packed (for sure!). 20 days until we start off on a journey that will land us back in our current place for under 60 hours before we take off to our new home and canyon trail running/hiking and reservoir swimming with amazing cycling! 🙂
I could give you the current count down on school hours, but that’s okay… it’s less than 20 days… 🙂 a LOT less!!!! 🙂
Keep up the fun times and the gorgeous hair!
I know youre working.
I still a little jealous 🙂
i don’t blame you. I wish you could be here. I know you would savor it like me!!
You are definitely adventurous going in that little plane! I would have been so scared. Looks like you are having a ball 🙂
i don’t think i had a choice at this point. haha.
Island hopping is definitely fun although I haven’t tried it because my friends told me it is so fun and exciting.. Love this!
That’s so cool that y’all get to take this trip! But you’ve earned and deserve it!
So I get start swimming in a long course pool tomorrow morning… should be interesting!

you warm my little bitty heart. Hugs and kisses. yes i kiss you!
OMG the beach looks amazing. Yes, that’s what I focused in on LOL. And I wish I could get that kind of beach hair. Somehow, mine gets flatter as if that’s even possible!
i wish you could come here. gosh, the running! I could walk behind while you lap me. hehe. xoxo

I really wish you were here. I could have used some Katie time. really! HUGS!
what a beautiful “training gym” and what a beautiful locale for sherpa-ing! 🙂 i’m so glad that you’re able to kick your feet up in between the sherpa duties!
it felt odd relaxing. You know how that is. Just like, how do i let go? But then my feet hit the sand and all was good. How was your weekend with J?
Hey Lindsay!! Married life has been amazing thanks to God! Thank you so much for asking. 🙂 And that view.is.beautiful! It almost seems surreal or out of a geography book.
BEAUTIFUL!!! I would have been FREAKING out in that tiny plane!!!! Praying for you and your hubby to find peace, comfort, joy, and what else God’s plan is for you when you get back to TX!!!
thank you a million for your prayers Alli. I feel them, i really do. Let me know how we can pray for you.
Just to hear about a teaching job and to have this back pain GO away!!!! Its in my lower back and it is KILLING me 🙁
will be praying friend.
thank you so so much 🙂
What a view! I would have had a panic attack in that plane…lol.
luckily James is pretty calming and has his pilots liscense, so i felt safe! Email me about austin!
Lindsay, what a beautiful place to train! Looks like you guys are having a great time; wish I’d done this type of travelling before kids (’cause it sure isn’t happening until they leave the nest!)
We are trying to do that for sure. Before the kids and all. must get it out of our system. haha
