I really can’t explain that title, but in my head it works. You see, I am typing this on Friday afternoon here, Thursday night in the states. Which means it’s almost too late to do Thirty Minute Thursday, yet I still have the urge to post it along with a Friday Faves, and a few other randoms. Therefore, my title dabs in on a little bit of everything in this post. Cool?
First up… a new song that the Kiwi’s play religiously on the radio. I love it! The video cracks me up, not sure what it means but I’m just gonna go with it.
Second….. another hiking adventure in the port hills. Well actually, the hubs ran and I hiked. But dang, the wind. It was CRAZY! Heather, I know you can appreciate this. Just see/hear for yourself.
And last but not least..…. WHOA! I’m a wee bit sore. From what? A good old Thirty minute Thursday routine. My glutes felt those squats! And it’s a good thing, cause that is what I am aiming for….bigger booty (right Paige?).
WHOA 600 Rep Routine
-
Warm up 10 minutes easy cardio
-
50 pulls on the row machine (highest level or fast speed)
-
25 regular or assisted pull ups
-
20 squat presses
-
15 single leg squat with bicep curl (each leg)
-
20 v- ups or jack knives
-
20 tricep push ups (push outs) on smith machine bar
-
-
Repeat the circuit (minus the warm up) 4x
-
Cool down/stretch.
Done! took me 50 minutes including the warm up. Good stuff!
Alright, I’m done! It’s Friday here and we’re gonna kick back with a glass of wine of course.

And yeahhhh that is a bit windy there! It’s like that here on campus too (we live in a valley and the wind is VICIOUS) except it’s around 20 degrees and blowing… tis cold! lol

Looks like a crazy intense workout!!! I’m amping myself up to go to the gym soon. Doing Jamie Eason’s Livefit trainer…made it to week two yaaay! And I’ll be baking cake later….that will be my fave 🙂

I love that it has a print out guide I can take with me to the gym. It’s the first time I’ve ever diligently kept track of my workouts and weights used. Excited to see how this 84 day project goes!

my friday fave is the fact that it’s friday! it’s been a loooooong week and will be a long (working) weekend. but ya know what? it’s friday & that’s got to count for something!
1 1/2 hour yoga class tomorrow – definitely looking forward to that!

That workout sounds intense – I guess that’s what that title is all about! I need to utilize the row machine more. I haven’t used it in over a year… mostly because I know it kills!!
Yes I know, that row machine is instense. I think that is why i’ve grown to love it. hehe. Short bursts of energy! phew! oh and happy BLOG ANNIVERSARY!

My Friday fave is usually ordering out, relaxing on the couch with my hubby and getting ready for my long run on Friday. Sounds cheesy and lame, but we enjoy spending the time together – no phones, no twitter, no FB… =)
We are here till March. Thats when the hubs finished ironman racing and training. Then back to the states for the other half of the season. He’s a kiwi so we are staying with friends and family. You still have time to come on down! we’ve got room. hehe.
Love the scenery! My Friday Fave is movie night – chilling on the couch with my cuddly kids and a glass of wine is hard to beat. 🙂

yep! 20 squat jumps, 20 pushups, 20 lunges (each leg), 10 burpees, 30 bicyle crunches, run down your apartment stairs and back up, repeat for 30 minutes or at least 3x. Sound good?
