Happy Slow Sunday. A day to recoup and try to slow everything down so that the day lasts as long as possible, avoiding that Monday.
I sit here writing this morning SLOWLY reflecting on this past week. It was SLOW but I am pretty sure God intended it that way. I think He slowed it for one reason……To end it with Answered Prayers and Beautiful Blessings. It’s what made this slow week worth the wait.
I am a woman of faith and firmly believe that God answers prayers on HIS time for a purpose and for a plan. This week my Heavenly Father answered prayers through my Earthly Father and just in time for FATHERS DAY! Hmm, what a coincidence. Or rather, what a divine plan!
So today I want thank God (my heavenly father) for giving me such an amazing earthy father (aka DAD)! He is one of my best friends, my support system, my hero, and so much more.
Thank you God for these blessings. Thank you for slowing down the week so that I could see significance in the way you answer prayers.
they definitely are! We are so lucky to have these men. Â Lindsay________________________________
I totally see the resemblance!  And I feel the exact same way about my dad, especially that last part.  My dad definitely set the standard for how a guy should treat me.  Aren't dads the best? 🙂
gosh he really does! so glad that you constantly reminding me of his love. How are you sweet friend?Lindsay ________________________________

SUCH a beautiful post, Linds! Seriously made me tear up. I'm so glad you have a loving, close relationship with your dad. I feel very blessed to have the same with mine. One day these husbands of ours will become fathers themselves – now THAT will be an amazing thing to witness! I know we'll all still be friends. We'll just have to bring our kiddos over to visit y'all in NZ. 🙂
What a beautiful post and tribute to both your earthly dad and Heavenly Father! Beautiful, girl!

pfft, sappy or just honest 🙂 i left home this weekend. first time ever. and i miss my parents terribly- i've never felt prouder of them EVER. just for who they are and the support that they offer/ have offered. i've always been aware of it and grateful for it, but the void i'm now left with has made me realise that it runs deeper than i think we ever really understandmore people should make their parents feel valued. and if we're sappy in the process, well, small price to pay 🙂
Perfect Sappy Sunday post! 🙂
What a beautiful post! I love all of the pictures of your Dad.I could not agree more, having a REAL MAN for a father also showed me how to find a real man that would treat me right & stand by my side no matter what!

Great post Lindsay! I am so glad you had a slow week and took some time to reflect on the gifts god has given you. Your Dad sounds just as amazing as you are.Â
I love this quote: "But most importantly, he showed me how a REAL MAN loves and cares for his family. And that’s how I was able to find a REAL MAN myself." Speaks volumes to me. This is such an important part of being a good dad. I would be lost without mine and attribute him for my loving relationship.Â
Sometimes a little sap is a good thing, especially when it comes to our daddy's!Â
thank you Tina. I hope you and your sweet family had a wonderful fathers day!;)Lindsay ________________________________
Linds, that was such a beautiful post. Too often we hear about fathers not playing an active role in their children's lives. Clearly, when they do they raisesuch great kids. You are a very lucky person to have such a wonderful dad. I hope he had a great day yesterday!xoMindy

I sometimes wonder if fathers have any idea just how strong their influence is on their daughters' lives. I am grateful for my dad every single day.
