Well this is going to be a quick post. I have some final Healthy Bites orders I am working on and of course setting up the Healthy Bites giveaway and recipe for tomorrow.
Any guesses on the flavor?
But I wanted to chime in here for a sec to share a few things. My thinking out loud(ish).
First, there is an amazing Leaky Gut and Chronic Illness webinar going on hosted by some of my favorite GUT HEALTH gurus. This webinar is LONG but so worth it. Chris Kresser is one of my favorite integrative health practitioners and is super smart and thorough. It’s beneficial even if you don’t have any gut health problems.
Lots of great topics and discussion about gut health, lifestyle, food allergies, stress, etc.
It’s free until Monday, so if you want to check it out, just click here. You can also check out these great tips on improving digestion.
That being said, remember to just Absorb the information, but don’t OVERTHINK it.  That will lead you to stressing out more. Everyone’s body works and functions differently, ya know?
Second, we have a few triathletes in town for a mini training camp. Just wanted to say thanks to these amazing companies for FUELING them while here.
Larabar, Nuttzo, Healthy Bites, Love Grown Foods, Barleans, Reboot, and Zevia. Also Enduropacks, which is not pictured, but very much used and appreciated as well.
Third, hungry men love meat. I’ve been cooking up a MEAT and butter storm. Thank goodness for my parents who gave us their venison sausage.
So there you have it… FOOD and GUT talk. Short and sweet. If you like these kind of quick posts, let me know. Happy to keep sharing. Either way, thank you for reading!

Making time for this this weekend! Thank you so much for sharing!
There’s gonna be a healthy bites giveaway?!?!?!?! I am so exited!!! 🙂
Are those bites pictured a strawberry/chocolate combo? or blackberry/nut? or blueberry? You didn’t mention there was a maximum/minimum suggestions limit! 🙂
Thanks for the gut health webinar link! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
yes!! i just posted it! go check it out. But that berry chocolate combo does sound good. 😉
wow i would love this webinar!!!!!!!! amazing!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for sharing. Love Chris.
Thanks for sharing the link to the webinar! I really like Chris Kresser’s work as well. There’s another webinar series on Thyroid health beginning this Sunday that I’m excited to watch.
Also, Venison sausage? Awesome! I wish I could find some near me!
Always love the food and gut talk my friend. 🙂 Keep it coming. Can’t wait for the recipe for those bites!!!!!
You are such an awesome sherpa- I’m sure you’re working hard for all the athletes!
Always love your gut tips that you share 🙂 Can’t wait for the healthy bites recipe too.. they’re always so good.
There is no cure for the FEROCIOUS baby GiGi living inside my digestive system! lol
Definitely cuing that webinar up right now. I show a Naitonal Geographic movie on stress to my physiology class. They are always astounded (as was I) to learn how pervasive the negative effects of stress are. The irony is that this past semester I showed it to them the class right before I gave them their midterm exam. In hindsight, that was probably a BIG mistake. 😀
Hehehe….I know the flavor.
we wanted to listen to that webinar!!! so sad we missed it Love Chris and the SCD guys
you still can! it’s up till Monday. Do you want me to send you the link?
Haven’t watched the webinar, but Chris Kresser is great! One of my go-tos for well-researched information, especially around digestion. Love listening to his podcast.
i knew you’d love! it’s a great webinar. very encouraging to a lot of people i am sure.
I watched the webinar, but I do have to agree on not overthinking! Great info, but what works for some, may not work for others 😀
oh yes, i know you can relate. How are you by the way? update?!
I sort of think I should check into the gut health thing – I try to blame all my stomach issues on having my gall bladder removed but I’m not sure if that is the whole problem.
I think it might help stir you in the right direction. Or email me if needed!!
I am always curious when it comes to gut health– wishing I could help my man with his issues.
This looks like a very informative webinar! I read the book “Against the Grain” which covered leaky gut…very interesting stuff. The hardest part is always implementing all of the tips and nutritional guides 🙂
that’s why i liked this webinar. it’s not overload. It’s very encouraging for those who need answers. ya know? let me know if you listen!
Love the little disclaimer about not overthinking things. There’s so much info out there these days, that it’s easy to fall into a paranoia and become afraid of everything. It happened to me before, and it took a while to convince myself that everything wasn’t out to get me 😆
Ahhh so true. But we learn and grow. Stress less and live more, yes?
Ooh those look like beet and walnut? Or maybe pomegranate? Just wanted to let you know you inspired me to do some yoga this morning after that finding your balance post. After too much running, biking, and sitting, my hips and glutes were not happy!
Tri camp sounds fun – how come I am not there! And that venison sausage looks yum!
I wish you were here!! I’d make you food and chat all day. Well minus training! And so glad you did yoga friend.
Lots need gut health!!! I read about it all the time! 🙂
Food and Gut – short and sweet and to the point 🙂 I actually may have to check out that webinar. It is something that has really interested in me lately as I look to make some changes for my own gut! 🙂
