Welcome to a little Monday Motivation. You see, last week I posted 3 ways to REINVENT yourself. Yes, I am slowly working on that. But I also think focusing on that NOW, before the new year, is key. Which is why I have my good friend Paige here today. Maybe you need to start fresh or get back to your roots with fitness. Maybe you just need to RELEARN the basics and go from there.
Paige is truly amazing at encouraging others in health and fitness! She’s my sherpa trainer and has helped me view fitness in a more balanced but still challenging way! I mean, check out her amazing (and functional) workouts! Like this Kettlebell circuit !
Plus she’s just so cool! okay, I’ll let her take over now and tell you what’s she’s up to this Holiday season! You’re gonna love it!
Hi there! I’m Paige, but most people on the web know me as Trainer Paige. I absolutely love helping women find their aha! moment(s) in health in fitness. You know, that moment where things seem to click into place, and it all makes sense. All of the sudden, working out and eating healthy don’t seem like a chore, but instead a privilege.
Of course, we can all have more than one aha! moment. I’d say I have roughly 2 a year, which also happens to be the number of times per year I lose excitement in fitness.
That, of course, isn’t a coincidence. It’s natural to become unexcited about your workouts or eating every now and then! However, the important part is to not to let that boredom lead you to stop your efforts altogether.
What helps combat that boredom is to switch it up. Start a new program. Work with a professional. Add something new to your routine. Or, join a challenge!
The holidays, because of their naturally busy and hectic nature, are actually prime time for that boredom to rear its ugly head, and thusly become a long stretch of halted efforts.
This in turn makes it even harder to ramp it back up in January after the holidays are over and done with. You know, inertia and all that action breeds action talk.
All of that to say that this year during the holidays I’d like you to join me for our Fit and Festive 30 Day Challenge that takes the week of Thanksgiving through Christmas.
I know what you’re thinking: wait, on top of all of my obligations and travel and parties, you want me to add a challenge on that?!
Never to fear, this challenge is NOT about adding even more pressure to your already stressful holiday season. In fact, it’s about the exact opposite.
The motto of #fitandfestive is to maintain, not gain, and stay SANE. The daily workouts I’ve created for you each day are 30 minutes or less, the nutrition plan allows satiety, comfort, and wiggle room, and each day you’ll have a lifestyle challenge to complete to put those 30 days – and your life! – in a less stressed state.
Oh…and did I mention it’s FREE?
Here’s what you’ll get during the 30 days.
Again, there’s no pressure during #FitandFestive except to have FUN and do the best you can – and to have compassion for yourself along the way.
Listen, if you do have goals to lose weight this holiday season, that’s completely fine, too. I just implore you not to put too much pressure on yourself. Keeping up your energy and not depleting yourself of willpower and energy during the holidays will provide the PERFECT grounds come January for you to really jump into your efforts. Whether that’s trying something new, starting a new program, losing weight, or toning up.
I’d love for you to join us. It begins Monday, the 17th! If you’re ready and excited, you can sign up below, or you can head over to my website to check out more details.
Thank you Paige! I think we all need a little #fitandfestive thinking versus the holiday madness, yes?!
Hope you guys sign up! Lots of good prizes and tips!

It is all online right? So open to Aussies?

I love Paige’s passion, generosity and willingness to help folks during the holiday. I especially love that it’s fun and free. The last thing we need is more pressure this time of the year. I can’t get through my holidays without running, it’s my escape and how I deal with stress.
Thank you, Lisa! <3
Hmmm . . . if I can squeeze it in to the busy days coming up I am in!

I love this! The holidays are such a stressful time. Everyone can use a little helpful reminders so that when January comes around they’re not beating themselves up or giving up.
i so agree! and it’s just 30 minutes, at least!
Hey Lindsay! I found you through the Texas Bloggers group! 1) I signed up for your #FitAndFestive Challenge 2) I am about to check out your kettle bell workout! I got a kettle bell for my birthday and am loving the workouts I’ve been doing at home with it! But always looking for new stuff! 3) I’m a Fitfluential Ambassador too! I’m new though.
Where do you live in Texas?

Aw, thank you Laura! As are YOU 🙂
Nice! I usually stick to my same routine all year round! My workouts will be a little less on the holidays when I am visiting with family, but I just sort of figure that is all part of it.
just staying active and moving helps, ya know? I totally agree. less can be more
I am sharing! I usually stick to my normal routine all year round! 🙂

Yay! Thanks, Carla. It’s going to be a blast! 🙂
I signed up!
I’m already listening to Christmas music! And coming up with a plan for a stress free holiday season is a priority 🙂
Good to hear, Jill! I love Christmas music, too 😉 Can’t wait to begin our #FitandFestive journey!
This is great!! I was just reading that the average American gains one pound during the holiday season and DOESN’T LOSE IT. I’d say it’s worth it to make the effort to stay fit during the holidays/winter!
ahh yes, i believe it!
A bit of extra motivation never hurts!
Good time of year for this type of challenge. Everyone can use a little added accountability and structure.
yes, a little goes a long way.
This is great and fun! Just signed up.
woo hoo go Liz!
Such an important time of year to keep moving and keep fit. Great way to maintain consistency and structure during a crazy time of year.
