Let’s talk flavors and fueling. It’s Friday and I love alteration. So win-win, yes?
First off, flavors of the week.
Wine Flavors (okay not really flavor but go with it).
These are my a few of my favorite Red’s under $15. Yup! P.S. Target has THE SHOW on sale. Love Target!
Secret Flavors. Oh.. you must be intrigued. I know I am. New Flavors coming to Chobani in July!! I have no idea what they are yet but I get to taste them. And then maybe do a giveaway. Would any body want to try them? What am I thinking…. OF COURSE YOU DO!! #WTFlavor
Secret Flavor revealed. So excited I finally get to share the new Quest Bar flavor! White Chocolate Raspberry. But I think most you knew that. Sneaky Sneaky. Either way, it’s tasty and chewy. Melt that with some GF graham crackers and cherry jam. Just sayin…
And now for the STRANGE BUT GOOD Cotter Creations.
These two are my Fuel and Refuel recipes. They work for ME at the moment. My workouts range from 45-60 minutes. Running is usually trails and HOT!
Fuel UP Porridge
I’ve been using the rice cooker like no other these days! Especially with Jasmine rice. Saves me from the stove.
I cooked the rice in my cooker then added in a little coconut butter and/or creamy NUTTZO melted in. Then I add milk (regular or nondairy), mashed banana, coconut flakes (optional), a few spoons of love grown granola or trail mix, and an egg on top with a touch of cinnamon and molasses. I know STRANGE.. BUT GOOD! Sometimes I add in a vegan protein powder instead of the egg. There really is no certain amount of each. You just kinda mix it all in to your liking. Play with the combos and see for yourself!
The second recipe is my REFUEL recipe. So perfect for the post run hydration too!
Pineapple Honey Kiwi Smoothie with Parsley
Blend together one handful of frozen pineapple, 1 kiwi, ice, vanilla almond or coconut milk, vanilla protein powder, honey, vanilla extract, a dash of cinnamon (optional), and a sprig of parsley. If I don’t have protein powder I use Honey Corepower. Both work great!
Let me know if you try any of these! Happy Friday. I’ll be in the kitchen most the weekend but I plan on taking a BIG sabbatical soon. More on that later.
