See, I can be clever at times. That title, it’s catchy, yes?
Cotter Change (as in coin change). Just another phrase for my 2 cents, my thoughts, my opinions, my voice. Might not be much, but you are welcome to take it or leave it.
Ever so often I will pop in with some Cotter Change. Maybe it’s a review, a new find, etc. Sometimes it’s a campaign opportunity, sometimes it’s just my own thoughts. Either way, it’s honest.
Okay, I am going to just put this out there. My MEET ELLIE review. If you are not sure what Meet Ellie is, go here. It used to be PVbody. Now it’s a whole new clothing line. It was kind of a sudden change and one I wasn’t really told about until about a month before launch, but it didn’t bother me. Maybe it should have since I am an Ambassador for them, but really, I had other things on my mind and that needed attention, ya know? Anyway, here are the details.
Every month, Ellie will launch a new collection of 16 tops and 8 bottoms. <- Different choices each month.
-Your choice of two pieces from that months Look Book for $49.95 per month. You can choose two tops, two bottoms or a top and a bottom and the price is always the same. <- You know what you’re getting.
-You have until the 7th of each month to select your own pieces. Otherwise, Ellie will select and ship an outfit (top and bottom) to you, depending on your selected style profile.
-Ellie offers free shipping on all orders, exchanged, and return to Fit Fashionista program members – If you are not satisfied with the quality of Ellie, you can ship it back for free both ways and you will receive another free piece from Ellie’s collection. <- Doesn’t fit or don’t like it? Send it back.
-Ellie offers exclusive access to pieces available only to Fit Fasionista members. <- Want more of the pieces released this month? You can buy them.
Okay, now my 2 cents:
- I Liked what I picked out for February
- I received the right sizes
- Their clothing fit great and felt great, similar to LuLu (similar, not the same)
- I washed their clothes twice, no damage or fading was done.
- I didn’t have to deal with any exchanges, customer returns, etc. I feel pretty luck here.
- I have HEARD through the grapevine that others have had bad experiences with trying to exchange items. Like I said, I guess I got lucky.
- BUT… they are a new company and I think they are trying to work out the kinks. Maybe they thought too big too soon, who knows.
- Bottom line, I like their fitness apparel. It fits me well. I feel good in it. It’s pretty affordable.
- Side note: Their march collection is all black. Not a fan of the all black line since it is spring, but I do like their unique designs.
If you want a 20% off your first order, you can click my link on the side bar. Lots of other sales will go on, so be on the look out. I hope that this company can work out these kinks soon. It’s a great concept and great product. Again, just my 2 cents.
Now… let’s get to some other Cotter Changes. My super duper important 2 cents.
This LIVE Kombucha Soda amazing! A different twist on kombucha, kinda like kombucha and lime bitter drink combined. Then there’s the Pumpkin Gingerbread Nutty Butter. Love sarah’s PB! Used it to make a custom order of Vegan Apricot Gingerbread Healthy Bites.
Speaking of Healthy Bites… Triathlete Magazine gave me their 2 cents on Healthy Bites in their latest issue. WOO HOO! That made my week!
And last, some great words of encouragement. My 2 cents just changed into something pretty priceless. It’s called HOPE!
What do you think of my two cents? Tried any?
Feel free to leave your 2 cents as well!
Cheers!
LC
p.s
Must reads for the week. They share their hearts, much more valuable than 2 cents.
Christine, Lori and Michelle, and Elisabeth.
p.p.s
Guess who blogged? Update from this guy!!
I’m not a fan of the all black either, but the other bloggers who have done Ellie reviews have had some super cute and colorful clothes. (I love the things you picked out…)
And hooray for Nutty Butter BALLS!!!!!
I’ll take your two cents any time. In fact, I’d take three…or even FOUR. Maybe a whole dollar.
Woo, way to get a magazine review! That’s pretty dang exciting, m’dear. And hmm, all black for spring? Can’t say I’d get too excited about that–but then again, I wear neon year-round 😉
i know, me too! LOVE TO BE BRIGHT! hehe
Love your 2 cents!!!! Good to know since there has been that thread out there!
OMG – that nut better!!! 🙂
clever! I laughed out loud 🙂
I want to try that Kombucha, it sounds tasty.
I will say, I have been disappointed in making my own kombucha so far. I guess I expected it to be more like GTs
it takes a couple of brews to get to GT level.. well close to it. Then you have to ferment your fruit juice too. I know, so long to wait! LOL
cute catchphrase! and congrats on the writeup. 🙂
wish they would have put my cute LOGO in the magazine. I had a pretty fabulous designer…ahem. 😉
So proud of you and getting in the magazine! That is absolutely flippin’ awesome. I will call you on Sunday for updates on life. My 2 cents obviously have to deal with the She Rocks Bites. Never judge something by the first bite. Give it some time; keep eating them; and when you are finished and miss them, then those healthy bites are a keeper. 😉
haha, love it! girl, we think alike. Those bites are unique, bold, and leave you missing them! LIKE YOU!
Love the definition of hope. I like thinking of it as a form of grace! Congrats on your Healthy Bites feature – that is exciting!! Now I am definitely going to have to order some 🙂 Also, I saw your Ellie outfit on Instagram and decided to give them a try. So far, so good. Cute clothes and, like you, I got lucky on the sizing so no return hassles to deal with. Hopefully they will work out everything because the concept is a good one!
so glad you tired Ellie did Kelly! and yes, order healthy bites anytime! WOOHOO xxoo
I always love your 2 cents. Your blog always has something in it that makes me more grateful for my life and puts it in perspective. Congrats on HB shout out cant wait until HB grows to reach Australian shore!!
I want to try Ellie now. I want to get me some Healthy Bites too… just as soon as I can add in more foods…. Eeek!
when you do want healthy bites, i just might hand deliver! hehe love ya!
Woohoo for press! From what I’ve heard about Ellie, I was expecting horrible clothing. Your outfit is super cute!
clothing is great! i think the customer service is where most people were having issues, ya know? Hopefully they will work on that. But i didn’t have any problems. hehe, yay!
That’s so awesome that Triathlete gave your healthy bites a shoutout! A well deserved shoutout, of course 🙂
thank you friend. Your support is just plain amazing!
congrats on your feature in Triathlete Magazine! That is exciting news 🙂 I have heard not so great things about Ellie as well, but honestly those clothes you are sporting just look too cute! One for Ellie 🙂
and they are pretty affordable. I love in workout clothes, so i was excited! haha
While I have had issues with receiving the correct items and exchanges and I feel like their business practice was a bit shady, I am giving them another shot this month. I do like the idea of Ellie and their clothes are appealing. Oh, what is this months flavor of the month?
it’s Key Lime pie protein! delicious too!
I’m not sure about Ellie since I have heard half good and half horrible.
However, I am sure Healthy Bites rock! So excited you got featured in a magazine.
yay for healthy bite 100% love! p.s. I need to get your March order to you, yes?
Yes. I need to email you tonight.
I got a pvBody outfit to try that I loved. The Ellie one that was promised never materialized. Glad you like it though!
I must find some of that Kombucha soda! Awesome!
you would love this soda! its fabulous!! Wish i could send you some.
p.s. I think you need to email them about that outfit! For sure!
You deserve the shoutout, girl! The Healthy Bites are fabulous & addicting. I am thrilled to have the recipes to make some more 🙂 Thank you!!
let me know how they turn out friend! so thankful for your support!
I like your two cents. Congrats on the mention in Triathlete Magazine!! That’s awesome. Thank you for your honest review of Ellie. I’ve been torn too. I had good experiences with pvbody so I’m curious to see how this all plays out. That quote about Hope also is spot on. It’s stuck with me ever since I saw you post it on IG. And thank YOU for the link love. xox
no thank YOU! such encouragment. We all need that! <3
Congratulations on the shout out in Triathlet Magazine! That’s fantastic!
thanks Lauren!
Ah yes, great minds thinking alike! 🙂 I love your outfit- you look super cute!
I was a little bummed at the all black too- BUT then I thought, well, I can definitely use some black clothing, so it’s not necessarily a bad thing!
I agree with your opinions and review- so far, so good for me too!
yep, same here. Black is nice but i was hoping pastels. haha no really!
Never tried the Ellie line, so I can’t say anything about them! It looks cute though.
I absolutely love the title, so creative my friend!
SO proud for the healthy bite shout out!!!! Yay!! You deserve it for working so hard on producing this amazing product!
gosh, thanks Lisa. That means a lot! hugs!! xxoo
I read this early this AM when I was nursing Ryan and squealed when I saw that you HB was mentioned in the magazine – HOLY COW! Congratulations!!! =)
hehe love it. Did Ryan squeal too?
we have to try the Meet Ellie idea or clothing. it looks like a good deal 🙂
thanks for the link love 🙂
love hearing your 2 cents! no new 2 cents to share from our end – think yesterdays posts took a lot of cents, haha
xoxo
Have a great Friday!
I’m glad to see that most of the new Ellie reviews are good and people like the gear for the most part. Good for them considering the questionable approach they originally took.
i think they are definitely trying, and i hope they make it. But i think the customer service is where they need to focus, ya know?
Love the title!! Such a cute and creative name. I’m glad that you got your products without any problems AND liked them! That’s always good, so hopefully they work it out with everyone else because it sounds like something that is a good buy!
thanks tara! how are you? miss ya!
I love your 2 cents but always too hehe! I as you know am a Kombucha lover but have not tried that soda. I must… where can I buy it. Not sure about Meet Ellie line and haven’t tried it. Was unsure how they size things since I’m on this weight loss journey over here HAHA!! Nothing fits right but I guess that’s a good thing, yes??!! Have a good weekend! 🙂
i think that is definitely a good problem! yay!
I liked my first outfit from pv.body but guess I totally missed the memo when they made the switch and wasn’t too happy when I had what I thought was a random charge from Ellie… Woohoo on the shoutouts about HB’s that’s awesome 😀
oh no, really? see, that’s what they need to work on. not a good slip up!
Nice review.. I like the clothes! I’m glad you had a good experience with the company 🙂
Have a great weekend, friend!
HOPE!!! I am always looking for those beautiful signs of HOPE! We all need them and its often in how we view things, right??!
yes, HOPE is everywhere.. just need our eyes and hearts to stay open to see it!
All of this is new 2cents to me! I’ve heard of Ellie on a couple other blogs now too. Didn’t realize it was pVBody. Question- do you get to skip months if you decide that you don’t want to buy anything that month(like a freeze per say) or do you *have* to get a box every month until you cancel?
I still haven’t tried kombucha – of any sort :X I am so stinkin’ behind the wagon! Can’t wait until I get my delicious bites of key lime heaven!
i think you can. I’d email them about it for sure. Month to month maybe?
and yes, making your bites this weekend! YAY!
i’m thinking about trying them after the baby is born. I like that you can pick your pieces. That’s a great improvement.
i agree. I thinking picking your pieces helps! we know our bodies best, right?
And now…I want me some kombucha.
i bet this one is near you! I got it at HEB
Cute clothes! I have not heard of them, but love the shirt you have.
I love “hope”, that and God’s grace have gotten me through a rough year. Now I need to go find this Kombucha soda you speak about…
God grace gets us through everything. PRAISE HIM!
Major congrats on the magazine feature, that is fantastic! I will probably never buy those clothes because I don’t buy anything unless it is dirt cheap but I do agree that you look great in it. 🙂
Have a fun weekend!
Congrats on the magazine feature! I’ve heard some not so great things abotu that company. I like that you are giving them the benefit of the doubt though. And I love the top you got!
it’s definitely a katie top. The sleeves and all. See, we need to share clothes!
I’ve read the bad about PV too… but I have to say, an all black line makes me want to try it. Yes, black is my favorite color. 😉
Congrats again on the Healthy Bite fame!!! I can say I knew you when… 😉
thats cause youre a bad ass, and black looks good on YOU! 😉
Great, honest, review, friend! the stuff does look cute, I must admit. I LOVE that you are highlighted in triathlete magazine! you rock friend! Over to read James blog 😉
i think you’ll like his post. 😉
I love the shirt you chose, almost picked that one, but was trying to get different things than I usually do. I am obsessed with my blue tights, as you probably have noticed. 🙂
And congrats again on the Triathlon mag feature – so proud of you!!
those blue tights look SMOKIN on you too!! And thank YOU for always supporting my balls, hehe bites
congrats on being featured in the magazine!! very cool.
thanks Danica. 🙂 I feel cool. haha
Regarding Ellie . . . I feel the same way about everything said . . . like the clothing I received, and hope they can pull themselves together to be successful for the long run. 🙂
Yay for Healthy Bites’ mention in the magazine! That’s very exciting, and you should be so proud!!
thanks Michelle. I feel honored, which is even better, right?
You are beautiful and I wish we lived closer, my two cents 😉
I love my ellie stuff I got too! I have heard some people complain and have problems, but I never did!
Happy Weekend! <3
i so wish we lived closer too. I think we’d be inseparable!
I like your two cents. 😉 Congrats on the magazine feature too, my friend! I still need to try out your amazing healthy bites one of these days!
they are perfect for late night feedings when you are feeding. hehe. SO SOON! I’ll have to send you some. xxoo
My mind is your piggy bank (0:
And..Kombucha SODA?
Pass the gin or vodka please. (Or wine. Spritzers, baby!)
and that is exactly what i did. It was divine. No joke!
I love what you got from Ellie! I am sad that their spring line is all black too! I like to wear bright obnoxious colors especially when I can run outside!
haha, exactly or pastels! LOL!
mmmmm those healthy bites sound amazing! love you girl and congrats on being in the mag!
thank you friend, for always supporting!
Tend to agree with you on Ellie – clothes are great so far, they are definitely working out some kinks as a new company which I can totally appreciate and I’m more than willing to give them a chance. AND like you said, too many other more important things to worry about in life other than the fact that pv.body changes their brand to ellie. 😉 your outfit is super cute btw!
and ps. WAHOO on the healthy bites in print, SO FUN!! I still want to do PR for you!!
Let’s do a phone date soon, or skype message, etc. would love to get your 2 cents (hehe) about the PR thing. I am so thankful for you and Jolene!
I’ve not tried Ellie but have liked most of what I’ve seen so far. I do prefer brighter colours myself 🙂
I always enjoy and appreciate your 2 cents!
My two cents: You’re lovely.
actually that’s two words. but still true.
two words, two cents. It all works! Love YOU lovely!
Thanks for your honest review! I had a one month sample with pvBody and a good experience as well.
Hope- yes, you nailed it! Definitely a grace that carries us through all sorts of ups and downs. Have a wonderful weekend!
amen! Cling to HOPE
I have heard a lot about ellie. Now I need to try it!
oh you should! I am surprised you haven’t. You’d love it for running gear!
Congrats on the magazine feature! Very cool. 🙂 I also like the gear you picked out, especially that gray tshirt.
that gray shirt is awesome! you’d love it!
Congrats on the shoutout in Triathlete – that’s AWESOME! 🙂
Thanks Katie! Happy friday friend.
So exciting being mentioned in the magazine! I can’t wait to see those bites in the store and be able to tell people that I know you 😉
girl you are one of the important people that helped me get there! thank YOU!
I haven’t tried any of those things but have heard about Elle! I did try kombucha before but not that soda, looks yum!
I’m thinking you’ll get to try it soon! In AUSTIN! YAY!
i’ve had great experiences with ellie also!
loved yours! looked super cute!
