Branding your blog is necessary to create a professional image and to establish a relationship between your website and its audience.
When I first started the business of blogging 6 years ago, it was pretty simple. I’d write a recipe, take a crappy picture, hit publish, respond to comments, read a few other blogs, done. Most of the time, I was responding to my husband’s friends and fellow triathletes. They were always looking for more recipes ideas, nutrition tips, etc. Heck, that’s how I was nick named “the Sherpa Wife.”
There was no Pinterest, I had just started a Twitter account (and had no clue how to use it), Facebook was for catching up with old friends, Instagram was insta ..nothing, and Google + wasn’t even born yet. At least not to my knowledge.
So you see, back then, blogging was a hobby that helped me share my passions for nutrition, cooking, recipes, and being a wife. Simple.
Over the years, the “industry” has really EVOLVED. I would say it’s definitely more entrepreneur friendly, but it also demands more of our time.
Branding your blog is a necessity if you want to be a full time blogger.
The business of blogging in today’s world means that women (and men) can provide a good source of income for their family while still being at home. That was a huge reason for me to continue to pursue blogging. I want to be a housewife (gasp!) and I hope to be a stay at home mom some day.
Blogging today means your life is displayed everywhere. And you’re expected to be everywhere.
Note from lessons learned –> don’t be everywhere, be one important place (at that moment) instead. Avoid the burnout.
The business of blogging today means you will be judged and criticized, but also praised. Don’t let it go to your head, or your heart.
And blogging today also gives you the chance to create your own brand. One that is very AUTHENTIC, ORIGINAL, and well… a perfectly imperfect YOU!
Branding your Blog can be the first step towards bigger blogging aspirations. It means you are serious about what you share, write, and so on.
But how do you go about the process of branding your blog?
Ask yourself these important questions:
- What are you passionate about? What makes you excited about life? Find a purpose in it.
- What can you contribute to the “blogosphere” that not many other can.
- Think about it. What makes you different? Is it your attitude, your creativity, your organizational skills, your helpful tips, your recipes, your photography, your ability to relate to others?
- Ask bloggers and non bloggers what they think you are good at and why. Is it something you can make into a business? Can you write an ebook about it? You’re good at something, that is for sure! God gave us all gifts for a reason! What is your gift?
- Don’t be afraid to embrace change in order to find your brand or to REBRAND. I think it’s a natural way of life. We transition from one career to the next, from one stage of life to the next, and so on. But change is what makes you AUTHENTIC and strengthens you as you grow.
- Don’t look at failure as if it’s an end to whatever you seeking. Look at failure as one event that can only lead to more growth and success. That’s part of your brand, failure.
- I have failed at taking care of my health at times. I have failed at many recipes. My husband has failed at races and during key workouts, but all those failed attempts don’t make us FAILURES. They instead help us refocus on what truly matters.
Failure sometimes enlarges the spirit. You have to fall back upon humanity and God. ~Charles Horton Cooley
Okay, now that you have narrowed down your thoughts, hone in on what truly makes you you (your brand), and don’t let fear or comparison get in the way!
Branding your blog means selling yourself, or rather, your talents.
As we approach the end of the first month of 2015, I think many of us already want to feel concrete and established, whether it be with our blog/career, with our life plans, or even with our health. We want all the stars to align and our BIG dreams to come true. Hey, it’s natural, we’re human.
But what if we focused less on expectations and final outcome, and more on the process? I think then, we just might be able to see where success and growth are already taking place, one step at a time.
Find purpose in your passion, learn and grow from it (failures and all), share it, nurture it, brand it! That is Success.
Branding your blog is also the business of blogging!
What are you creating and sharing today?

This is good!
It doesn’t matter you are blogging for money of for your passion we all are blogger and we I believe that in today’s world blogging is the best you to share my opinion with the world.
Thanks for your nice post.
this is great! I just started a new blog and am struggling to gain followers, but it’s only been a few months. Ol my last blog, I felt my voice was all over the place and I wasn’t able to find a passion. But I’m on my way to finding something.
you’ll find it! i think it’s good to have someone looks over posts sometimes, to get another perspective, ya know?
Thanks for the tips! I started my blog bc I am a pretty introverted person and I often get some of my best ideas out through writing. I was recently published on Huffington Post and that brought a lot more traffic, but my article was about my journey through addiction and my blog is now more focused on health and fitness. I guess I get kind of jumbled up bc I feel I have a unique perspective on life and want to share that, but sometimes it gets pushed a little to the back burner when I am sharing workouts and reviews and everything. I need to take a step back and figure out what makes me unique and what I can share with others like you said. Thanks!!
I read you post erin, and it’s very real and empowering. SO you may not have received a lot of hits on your site, but you did something even bigger, you helped people and probably touched a soul who needed compassion! <3
Thanks so much for this post! My blog almost feels like my baby but I often get discouraged that it doesn’t fit a mold. I am passionate about my blog remaining true to its content so I was blessed by your encouragement! Thank you!
keep at it Jaylssa! let your passion shine. I know, it’s corny, but true!
I am relatively new to blogging, and sometimes can get pretty discouraged, but I love to share recipes, tips and health related information. Running and baking healthy foods are my passion. Now I am a new mom, so I love staying up to date on what’s healthy for kids and new mommas. This post has some great tips and ideas to stay focused on my “brand.”
and i love that Bry! love hearing about your new mom adventures! you’re doing great!
Great advice, I am slowly trying to grow my presence and build my online brand. BackatSquareZero – the girl who is trying to eat right and train correctly, but somehow always ends up back at square zero… you know like face planting into a vat of ice cream.
Perfectly imperfect. Because perfect is overrated.
Such great advice from a smart lady! One thing that upsets me about blogging is the criticizing and judging. Guess that’s part of social media and the life we live these days though, huh?
So let me tell you a little story. About three years ago, I met a woman (a hosting coach, yes they exist) and she told me it would be a good idea for me to garner an online presence if I want to catch the attention of casting directions, TV networks, etc, etc… So I started GiGi Eats Celebrities because I love food, fitness, and the celebrity realm, however I hated what celebrities were promoting… So that’s how my blog was born. It’s expanded obviously, but because my name is GiGi Eats Celebrities, I always mix food and celebrities in one tasty dish! 😉 And I guess my other brand is that… I am kinda weird? So I am told… So yeah, that’s there. HA HA! But the only way to truly cement a brand is to be yourself! It’s worked for me. Everyone I know knows me as the celebrity eater who is freaking nuts. LMFAO!
Preach!!! The way you ended that post was exactly what I needed to hear. You are so right. I want it, and I want it right now. I need to enjoy the process and see where it takes me. I’m getting burned out thinking I need to everything and everywhere. I get panicked when I’m not, or disappointed when I publish a post and my numbers aren’t as high. I need to just sit back and enjoy the process. If this is what is meant to happen it will, my hard work will pay off and my neurosis won’t. Thanks again for an awesome post.
if you believe in your voice and your content, then go for it! i am sure others will too. xxoo
Such great advice!
I feel like I’m still trying to figure out where I “fit” in the blogging world and who I want to be when my blog grows up, but most importantly, I’m trying to make sure it always reflects me.
that’s a great focus!
Loved this 🙂 I can totally relate. I always think the same thing about when I started blogging (no pinterest, no insta, facebook was for stalking old high school frenemies, what’s a tweet?).
tweeting was for the birds! ha
Hello…Im in the same boat..have had my company for over six years and trying to make and get into twitter more and then some blogging…my friend Sue Hutter gave me your site as an example to spend more time on twitter and you are doing a awesome job…I have a bike logo design so there are a couple ironwoman with my gear in the past it was Kate Major and Linsey Corbin…Anyways, thanks for the tips and you are inspiring us all !!
Hi rebecca! so glad you stopped by. Love sue! and love all those ladies. Feel free to email me anytime!
This is a wonderful post, especially for new bloggers like myself. It’s very easy to get lost in the shuffle, but ultimately the person and the passion should be front and center on any blog! Thanks for sharing 🙂
amen! passion breeds success within and from the heart
I love love love this, Lindsay! Such great advice 🙂
What a timely post! I’ve been pondering my identity the past couple weeks. I think I know who I am as a blogger, and what I want my blog to be. I’m thinking about my visual blog identity. A logo, header, something that gives the look and feel of what I am trying be, something besides just my posts.
In reading through your bullet points, it helped me confirm a couple things about me and my blog, and it did raise a couple helpful questions. Also, I loved the quote about compliments and criticism. So true!
I already see you brand in progress and I love it! it has a rugged yet real appeal. if that makes sense? haha
Love this, Lindsay. It’s so true how much blogging has evolved (and continues to evolve). Finding your why is definitely key!
Great post Lindsay! I’m approaching my 1 year blogging anniversary and it’s hard to believe how far I’ve come but even harder to plan out where I’m going. But each day is always an adventure! I always try to remember to not focus so much on the end result and where I hope to be but rather on the process and the everyday from here until then. So glad I found your site and also that you’re a fellow gluten free wife too! Check out my gluten free blog Gluten Free Mom To Be!
These are great tips! I started blogging in 2009 and had very fast success with just writing was essentially an online diary. Then I took about two years off, only posting once a month, maybe. Now that I’m back at it full time, EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT! So incredibly different! It’s frustrating and hard to keep up with the trends sometimes…but on the other hand, what a blessing it is that we have this neat opportunity to blog and share things with the world!
yes, so true! but different can be good, we just gotta stay true to us!
Love this post, Lindsay! Blogging has definitely changed over the years since I started, and while it can sometimes feel extremely overwhelming, it’s also exciting to be part of a movement that’s expanding and full of so many amazing opportunities. The biggest struggle, I find, is to find time for it all and to not lose your own authentic voice while trying to make yourself a more professional brand. You’ve definitely got that down, my Corny Cotter friend 🙂
well I’m still learning and adjusting. But aren’t we all?! oh life! haha. love ya! my favorite spoon
This is a great post, I can relate to lots of things in this post, it’s so important to follow what you love and go from there, people will follow.
I’m currently running a health/recipe blog if any want to visit.
Thanks for sharing!
www.fitlittlehippie.com
thanks for stopping by nicole! can’t wait to read up on you and your UNIQUE brand
Absolutely LOVE this. This is something I am currently working on- Making my blog more of a ‘brand’ and personalised. It’s crazy to think how much blogging has changed and even though I’m new to it, in my period of blogging so much has happened!
i think i started blogging when you were in high school. haha. Jk.. well maybe. I’m old. But you got a good brand already buddy!
Great post!
Wise words my friend which surprises me not at all.
Right now, my content and my voice is my main blogging focus. When time allows, I try to squeeze in some other stuff, although I don’t put unnecessary pressure on myself to get it all done now. One, there will always be something to do and two, it would take the joy out of the process.
For me, it’ll all come full circle when the time is right, and I’m just gonna keep on living it.
This is a great post and the kind of post that I need to be reding now. My blog turned three in November and I feel like I am just finding my voice and getting into a groove. The first year it was a hobby, the next year I started to get more serious and over the past year I have been doing everything I can to develop and learn. It is a work in progress. I love seeing how bloggers like you who have been doing it longer are going about things. Your blog is wonderful and so honest and real. Thanks for the inspiration!
You nailed this one! I’ve been in the business of blogging for just over 3 years. At first I just used it as a space to share my fitness ideas and to make launch a freelance writing gig. It’s constantly evolving and I’m still not quite sure what my brand is. I struggle with sharing too much but not sharing enough. There’s definitely a fine line.
My first full year of blogging was about finding my voice, where I fit in and really about finding out who I am. It made for a LONG year. Now that I am stepping into my business, it is becoming easier. Your tips are spot on. The authenticity part is key! Pretty much everything has already been said but it’s interesting when you have your unique spin on it or maybe your audience hasn’t heard it before. I am rambling. Great post. xoxo
I love reading your thoughts on the process and how to improve. I really feel like I’m still kind of searching for my niche (in blogging and life!) but I’m enjoying the ride 😉
Blogging has changed SO much. Sometimes I struggle keeping all the plates spinning! But it enables me to be a stay at home mom, so spin the plates I do 🙂
Great tips! As a social media strategist, I’ve given chats about your “branding” and there are still many people who don’t believe in digital branding, in terms of a personal brand. To me, I’m thinking, how can you not think a digital brand is important?! Whether it’s for blogging, job search, network etc…it’s definitely something that needs to be looked at.
Hi Lindsay!
I am so glad I found your blog. 🙂
Such great advice and tips and as someone new to blogging, I appreciate it!
Have a great day!
This a fabulous post Lindsay. I love that you said don’t be afraid to rebrand. I think this is so important, as who we are and what our passions are can change from year to year!
I will echo the zillion others saying I LOVE this!
I didn’t even know blogging was a big deal when I started 4 years ago (on Blogger..yeesh)! I didn’t even share my name or the state I lived in because of Internet stranger danger haha how much things have changed!
I struggle with my voice for some reason like maybe my mood affects how I write on different days. Is that normal? And sponsored posts are always challenging but I’ve learned that if they approved me to write a post..they’ve seen my blog! I don’t have to try to be anything else just because I’m representing a brand (to a certain extent at least).
Good nuggets of wisdom, friend! That quote about compliments and criticisms gives me chills! So good to remember.
So so thankful for YOU! 🙂
These are such great tips. Especially the one about re-branding. I’ve gone through one blog change and a make-over so far in the years I’ve been blogging and it’s kind of hard to let go of the “old” and embrace the “new” especially when you feel like it’s part of who you are. But we have to be open to new possibilities if we want to keep growing.
Love this! I’ve been trying to think a lot lately about where I want my blog to go and have been toying around with the idea of a slight rebranding for at least 6 months. Thanks so much for sharing your insight–I really value your opinion since I really respect and admire you a a blogger, so your thoughts on blogging are something I’ll really take to heart!
GREAT post Lindsay! I’ve been thinking about all this for the last few months. I think I’ve finally found my voice – it’s only taken me 3 years, ha ha. I do need to work on building a brand, which is not an easy task. I love your new blog design btw – looks GREAT!
Excellent advice, my friend! xoxo
For me it is all about being quality rather than quantity and really focusing on making these videos happen. Even if it is one a week, it is a step in the right direction. You cannot rush excellence! XOXO
LOVE this. And LOVE your posts. you are YOU, you are real, you are smart and write some really awesome posts that resonate, inspire and inform! Love this and your tips, as always! XO
I love this! So many people are talking about their voice and how to keep their blogs authentic. I feel like people try to brand but struggle with making sure that brand is still THEM. You do it perfectly, my corny brother.
I love this so much. You know I have this big question mark about where to go with my blog. Definitely need to do some pondering about it.
i think your brand has definitely changed from the start, but so have you. you’re more “defined” and confident in your past and future. and your love for all things crossfit and life shines! does that makes sense?
It SO does – thank you so much for this input!!
Oh friend. I love this. Yes your tips are spot on and amazing (they always are!) but I love your message about being authentically you and imperfectly you – that’s your brand. I still struggle with my brand and really what my intent is with my blog since that seems to be shifting. xoxo
I have recently started trying to define my own brand…and that is healthy living made easy. Recipes, meal planning, and food prepping can be overwhelming, but if we have the right tools and knowledge, it can be easier!
It’s great to see how your blog has grown into a business! My husband talked me into starting a blog years ago and I’m so glad he did! It’s been a great way to make friends and to share my love of running. Today I shared a video that my husband made, using his drone, of me running with my Weimaraner – marathon training time!
that’s awesome tina! yay for videos!
Great tips. I do think it’s overwhelming and so time consuming, especially if you have a full-time job and do this on the side. It’s so much work but sometimes so rewarding.
As always, I love this. I love you, what you have to share and how you share it.
This branding thing is something I have thought a lot about over the past few months. Their are SO many blogs out there and so many wonderful people behind them so it is important to figure out what makes you different. I know my passion is triathlon but I’m still honing in on exactly. I am passionate about sharing just how wonderful life can be! And that every day can be exciting, fun and full of love. And doing a triathlon here and there is good for the soul too (:
Oh yes. Lots and lots of evolution has taken place over these 6 years hasn’t it? I’ll admit it overwhelms me sometimes. Ok lots of times. Honestly I enjoy the relationship building aspect of it vs the business building.
Great advice. I struggle with my blogging now. I keep hearing “don’t be so personal…be useful instead”, but then the process feels so sterile. I miss the connection, which is the biggest part for me.
I really need to find my balance because my blog is starting to suffer due to my own uncertainty. 🙁
that can be hard. but i think it’s important to share personal things that people can relate to and can support each other through. The rest can be helpful tips or recipes. Ya know? a little of both
Love this! Just love. So true. Blogging is so fun yet can be really demanding and make you feel as though you need to do it all, all the time and be everywhere- not possible, or, if one thinks it’s possible, at some point they burn out. All about balance once again…
I have to disagree with a statement you make here about your early days:
“I’d write a recipe, take a crappy picture, hit publish”
Your blog was always much more than a recipe and a crappy photo. (0:
LOL! i feel like we’ve been through so much together. xxoo
Branding is something that is on my mind every day and I hope within every post I write, that is to say who I am and what I can offer my readers. Some days I’m all :NAILED IT! Others I all:EPIC FAIL! But, the trick is to keep moving forward, discarding what doesn’t work and capitalizing on what does.
Thanks for the post.
Blogging sure has changed over the years. My blog has evolved, but my core mission has stayed the same–sharing my passion for healthy living, healthy recipes, and happy parenting and helping make that as easy and accessible as possible to those who are looking for help/inspiration. I’m finally serious about making my blog a business and it’s scary and exciting at the same time. 🙂
you are an amazing mama and i love your brand. It stands out because i know how much you care for your kids through food! (and more)
I love this post and I wish I knew how to position my brand. I’m just a normal person with below average “abilities” and not really good at anything. I have a lot of knowledge but hate putting it out there. I am yet to figure out how to bundle my enthusiasm and dedication with mediocracy in a way that would speak to others.
I didn’t have a blog 6 years ago (lol I would have been a teen….I’m sure it would have been awesome), but I can only imagine how many transitions you’ve had to make because of how big blogging has gotten. Awesome tips lady! Building a brand is SO important and something I’m constantly evaluating for TAE.
It’s really interesting to me when I hear about blogging from seasoned bloggers like yourself (i.e., have been doing this for at least 6 years). A lot of them say how they did it as a hobby first and how much it has changed significantly in the last few years.
I still feel like such a newbie to all of this, so thanks for the great tips here!
Thanks so much for these tips, Lindsay! I specially love “Don’t look at failure as if it’s an end to whatever you seeking” – I so needed to read that today – and everyday! In fact, think I’m gonna print that and put it on my fridge!
As for what I am creating and sharing today – well, if I were to take that question literally as in what I have on the blog today, I have a gluten free beet crust mini pizza on the blog! But, figuratively, as I hope to try and make my blog grow into a full time gig, I hope to share my love for healthy eats and treats balanced out with some veggies with anecdotes from being a single mom to a teen – of course, not every post focuses on my daughter – but, she has been one of the few things I feel I haven’t failed at!
Thanks for your post today – happy Monday!
Yes! A few months ago, I had sort of an aha! moment, when I realized that even though I love reading other blogs, I needed to be intentional on remaining myself and not letting them bleed onto what I do. It can be difficult to maintain your voice in the blogging world, but what’s the point if you don’t?
Sending you big hugs this morning! Love the message here. This is why I blog 🙂 I started 6 months ago and I wanted a place to share my recipes and workouts. I don’t have many friends that share similar passions so I knew the only way to connect would be blogging. I simply love the process and the connections but it is in ever sense of the word overwhelming. Holy cow who knew? Lol but im learning and posts like this keep me moving forward. Thank you!!
We started off so similarly with blogging – maybe all of us did back then 😉
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! I have already started this a bit but keeping everything close to me…. too many NO’s in my life so just doing some stuff & will see what happens.. not a lot of time or money to do it so hope before I get too old! 🙂
What a great post!!!!
Great post! I am still working to find my place/voice and made the desicion to just be me 🙂 It can be hard to not get caught in the comparison game, but I am more aware of when I’m falling into the trap and am able to pull myself out.
Great post Lindsay! I struggled for years trying to find my blogging brand and went through all the blogging phases – from daily food blogging to more of a focus on exercise to life as a nutrition student. Almost 5 years later and now I think I’ve finally found my true focus and voice. I think it’s important for new bloggers not to stress out about this too much at the beginning because it really can take a while to find your groove!
Your tips are spot on Linds. I think finding your talent and passion, is key- stay true to your voice and find your passion. It’s a lot of time and commitment, so if your not passionate, it will be dreadful work, and you will eventually burnout.
Great post, Lindsay! I often find when I read how some bloggers began that the environment was different. They really just had their blog and maybe a Twitter account. Now there are so many more opportunities to connect, but at the same time it’s a lot more to manage on a daily basis. Thanks for the words of wisdom.
Wow Lindsay, you could be speaking directly to me! My big brave plan for 2015 is to rebrand, and since I’m a DIY blogger at heart I’m going about it slowly. My weekend project was working on a new logo and header. Thanks so much for this, the timing is perfect and you gave me so much to think about and use as I go forward. <3
You really nailed the tips. I love the idea that each of us has something very unique to offer. It’s tempting to feel like our brand should look like other successful blogs out there but that minimizes the authentic component. Keep doing what you’re doing!
LOVE THIS POST. It is so true. Blogging has changed so much since I started 5 years ago and honestly, sometimes it’s hard to keep up. I always feel like I am behind on the latest techniques and tricks to stay ahead of the curve. But I’ve found that as long as I believe in what I’m sharing and am still enjoying myself, then it’s worth it.
I feel the same way, Kaila! Like I’m always a little behind haha but at least we love what we do, right?? 🙂
Cracker of a post, lady! My blog was born as a hobby and I had no intention at the time of monetizing it. It’s amazing how big blogging is now (as you say, it’s pretty much an industry) and how much it’s changed since I started almost 5 (gasp!) years ago. It’s a lot of work, but I think it really forces you to think about what makes you unique, and teaches you a whole lot about yourself, technology and community building (all things I love to learn about!)
Really fabulous advice, and we can all relate to this issue! I really didn’t know what the heck I was getting into, and now of course realizing how much time and energy it all requires!
I always wonder if I have a blogging brand. I try not to get too stressed since I just blog as a hobby but I still want my blog to be somewhat successful:)
Such a great post, Lindsay! It IS crazy how much the blogging world has changed over the past few years. It’s definitely gotten more competitive (with more criticism) but I love the community it provides. Meeting amazing people like you is one of my favorite reasons to blog 🙂
Wonderful post. I have definitely experienced a lot of change and blog rebranding since I started a year and a half ago. I think it is really important to find your blogging purpose – at first my blog was the platform I needed to share about my health journey. Now I use it to share recipes, nutrition information in the hopes of building my health business. Happy Monday! Love all that you have been doing with updating your site… looks great
Ah! Right now I feel my blog/brand really growing and changing and I LIKE it. I finally feel like I know where I want to take my blog and what I’m looking for!
that’s great rebecca! and you have a great “voice” for that
You hit on so many key things in this post. I think it’s so important to follow your passion and brand yourself from that, not what you think people will want/like the most.
I am sharing a couple recipes for baked oatmeal on my blog today…and am eating it now as I read this 🙂
well I can’t wait to go read it, and then crave oatmeal! love your unique recipes and YOU
Fantastic advice! And oh so true how it has evolved. I am still not using Pinterest, and I know that is a mistake. I need to get busy!
pinning is tricky, but it’s all about engaging your readers to want to save your post. which you always do! <3
What a great post and thanks for sharing Lindsay. I started blogging four years ago and it’s evolved so much since then.
For, I don’t want to blog full time but I do want to continue to the process and share my life. Sharing small details, photos ect is one of my weaker spots and a reason I will probably never be a full time blogger. That is fine with me!
As you said, your blog is what you make of it.
yes, and you are great at being real too! Keep it up friend. We love us some LOLZ
Great tips friend. I do think it’s overwhelming. You have to be on,on, on constantly and there are so many ways to reach people. I think it’s important to analyze what readers are interested in from stats and where they are coming from. This to helps narrow that focus.
i think readers want to relate to you too. which you do a great job of. from daily Struggles to recipes to overcoming obstacles. we need support for all! Love you!
You couldn’t be more right about readers wanting to get to know you. People respond so much more when I talk more about myself. And thx for the compliments friend!
YES! I have thought about this a lot in recent weeks, as I learn more for runners connect, I can apply those lessons to my own blog. I rearranged mine around this weekend, as I realized my greatest strength is my ability to share the WHOLE truth with the world about being an elite runner. THAT is what sets me apart, and THAT is what I need to focus on in the future. Thanks for reminding me I am doing the right thing, I have looked up to you from the start when it comes to blogging, and i know I will continue to do so 🙂
and that is so important! i think a lot of people think being an elite is all glam. It’s definitely not, and you are honest and motivating and real! We love YOU
It really is amazing how much blogging has turned into a full blown and highly saturated, competitive industry. I think that is why I stayed out of it for so long–how could I compete! But it is also why I wrote my post about blogging integrity at the start of the year–for me, my voice is my brand. Does it mean that I may be less of a draw to certain companies and readers? Sure, but it also means that my blog is authentically me, and that the people who are there are there because they want to be!
well suz, i would say that you are a great voice. UNIQUE and always full of life. That’s a great brand right there. I read for you humor and your authenticity. WE need more of that in our life. so thank you
