Oh goodness! Hello! Where are we? What day is it? haha, that’s kind of how I feel. But all is good now. Let me back up and explain…..in bullet points.
- Left Dallas for NZ Friday Morning.
- Had a 9 hour layover in San Francisco
- Thank goodness we had the hubs’ coach to rescue us. We crashed at his place 10 minutes from the airport and grabbed lunch. During that time I managed to:
- Ripped my shirt and had to buy a new one
- stepped in dog poop (perfect smell for the 13 hour plane ride to come)
- Freak out about my messed up flight confirmation
- Hopped on the 13 hour flight from SF to Auckland, NZ.
- Had been up for 18 hours already.
- In the air we got our special GF meal. (love that)
- While I waited for my meal I sipped on a glass on NZ wine
- I also took an ambien (bad decision on an empty stomach).
- Meal came and I felt sick. Took a bite of the dessert and threw everything up, multiple times.
- Passed out.
- Woke up 7 hours later with throw up in my hair and on the hubs’ shirt.
- Had only 2 hours left of the flight and kinda felt happy, a little “wooey,” but not too bad.
- Drank some special NZ gingerale and all was good.
- Landed in Auckland, grabbed a “flat white” with the hubs and boarded our last flight to Christchurch.
- Home sweet….new home!
- Tried to figure out the internet but my cute mother in law is on dial up.
- Went to bed at 9pm when it was still light out.
- Woke up at 4am (jetlagged)
- Got the hubs up, ready to go at 5:30am. It was bright then!
- Shopped at the local grocer and tried to figure out all the kilojoule conversion. Gave up and just grabbed what looked good. I like that method better anyway.
- Went to the local swim/health club and signed up.
- The hubs’ drove in our borrowed car and had to re-learn the “left side of the road” driving method. I don’t think I helped much either. haha.
- Tried to figure out the new workout equipment and looked like a fool. I am lifting in pounds or kilos? I’m confused.
- A few trainers came and spoke to me and asked where I was from….I’m the cool one with the accent now.
- Hubs’ and I hopped in the car in search of internet cards a local cell phone.
- Walked around the town and realized everyone is barefoot, hmmm. Barefoot is cool I guess.
- 2 days later we have a phone (similar to the one I had in 1999!!)
- 2 days later, I have internet. I have to admit, life without it is not too shabby.
- Enjoying some NZ wine and taking it all in.
Life it getting settled. Slowly but surely. Thanks for always following! Can’t wait to reconnect!
Catch me up! How was your weekend?
Cheers from Down Under!
Lc
Ugh how awful that trip sounded. Glad you finally landed and are once again connected!
Wow, what a crazy crazy journey! I’m happy you arrived well at least!
Crazy… but so exciting at the same time!
This is all so exciting! What a big adjustment to make. Glad you have the hubby to help you figure things out. I still get confused going back and forth between kilos and pounds, KM and Miles and Celsius and Fahrenheit!
at least we get to practice our math, right? hehe
Oooh, you poor thing getting sick in the plane…I have always wanted to go to NZ. So jealous!!! Have a great trip!
well it was worth it! come visit. You’d love it Jamie.
So glad to hear you arrived safely in NZ. What an exciting trip…. Looking forward to hear more about your new adventures! 🙂
What a crazy time in life! So exciting but it must be overwhelming!! Enjoy it!
overwhelming in a good way. Just breathing it all in, ya know? <3
Whew! What a way to start a trip, huh? Sounds like it ended well though : )
Looks like a “roll with it” attitude will be required for a bit. Life is sometimes unpredictable, and although it is not one of my favorite aspects of it, it keeps us from becoming stagnant. I pray you find a rhythm that works for you and one that you grow to love. I envy this time of adventure you’re having. Enjoy it! I just know you will look back on it fondly!
Nicole
oh thank you! i think God is showing us a rhythm. Now we just need to make sure we roll with it.
🙂
oh my goooodness Lindsay I’m glad you’re recovered from that, what a journey. I can only imagine how much your routine is completely messed with and shifted but you seem to be settling in quite well. Is the weather gorgeous there??
yes , totally off! but its okay. Life throws us those curve balls for sure. haha. Weather is nice today! 68F and sunny. <3
WOW! I am so excited for you guys! This is the beginning of a great adventure 🙂
it is! adventure, craziness, you name it, haha.
Well that will definitely be a journey that you never forget! At least you got to experience all of it TOGETHER! 🙂
YES!! together makes it all better. poor hubs had to put up with me though. haha.
Nice…..welcome home.
How did I miss you were moving tio “Christchurch” <– that is just a lovely name!
I googled it and searched the images and wow. BEAUTIFUL!
Just let me know when you get the vineyard set up and I'll muster up some venture capital and book a flight. ….with my magic wand.
– That hummus is just a hint of all the good eats yet to come, I bet. Can't wait.
God bless!
i’ve already had plenty of new zealand sauvignon. I am waiting for you to get here and then we’ll plant some grapes! k?
Thanks for filling us all in on the recent happenings. Ambien is freaky stuff. It made me really sick the first time I took it, but hey, at least you got some sleep, right? 😉
I can’t wait to hear more!
haha, exactly. I slept it all out! not the best way, but it worked.
😉
Glad you made it (and it sounds like you had quite the adventure getting there)! Can’t wait for NZ-style blog posts and pictures!
you would love it here! GF everything and its affordable! GF meal on my flight and GF options at every restuarant. YIPPEE!
glad you made it safe and reasonably sound..although i have to admit i did chuckle at the whole vomit in hair and on hubs shirt event. sorry.
looking forward to hearing about your adventures!
saturday a friend and i ran a half marathon….hills, hills and more hills the only flat was after the race in the hotel lobby. yikes! race is called
the bear mountain 10k and half marathon. it is run on the golf cart paths at one of our more high end golf courses. was fun….in a sick kind of way!! hahahahaha
Wait, you passed out for 7 hours? I passed out for three minutes!
i’m not sure if i passed out and then fell asleep, or just passed out. either way, at least i woke up! haha.
Oh man. That was quite some trip!!! I can’t imagine being sick on a plane like that…especially over meds on an empty stomach. That’s a whole different sort of sick feeling. So sorry you had to go through that…and dare I say it sounds like something that would happen to me?
So glad you made it safe! Can’t wait to read about all your new NZ fun!
ya, its definitely a whoa i’m out of it feeling. haha. Such a classic cotter story too!
Wow. That sounds like QUITE a trip but you made it alive and well! You got sick on the plane?! 🙁 Poor thing!
alive and well and kickin. haha. how are you friend? and your dad?
What an amazing adventure! My parents and I moved to New Zealand when I was 10 days old (can you IMAGINE doing that flight with a new born????) and even though it’s been a long time since I’ve done that crazy flight (we haven’t been back to NZ in probably 8 years) I still remember how painful the travel is! Glad you guys made it!
i think its time you revisit. pleeeeeasssseeeeee!
Yay, you made it!
yes, barely! haha.
L&P!!! I hate the stuff, but as long as it made your belly feel better.
Hooray for Vogels bread, and Lisa’s Hummus – you picked the best ones. Oh oh, and Cyclops yoghurt is awesome if you see it, particularly the dark chocolate one 🙂
Don’t you guys have the whole “flat white” thing in the US? Funny. Wonder how long it will take for your hubs to start back with the Kiwi twang… I give him a week and it will be all ‘fush and chups for dunner pluease” hehehe love it.
Oh NZ makes some kick ass wines, they totally have they savvyB perfected. Catalina Sounds is awesome if you see it. How did the search for Almond milk go?
Hooray!!!
no luck for almond milk yet. I did find rice milk with protein added. that does the trick! and yes L&P is my hubs favorite drink. It helped ease the stomach, just a few sips. But hello sugar! wowza!!!
Flat whites are soooooo much better here. milk qaulity and all. I got it with soy. YUMMY!. Oh i meant to email you back, but can’t wait till you get here. Ring me 03 3517850. WOO!
Driving stick on the right side? That blows my mind! So sad to hear you had such a miserable long flight! I can’t even imagine. At least you are done flying for the time being. Best wishes on getting settled. <3
ya, that whole drive with the left hand on stick is weird. i am not good! haha. thanks for the wishes meg! love that!
WAHOO you made it! So glad you both are there safe and sound and so looking forward to hearing about your new life. It’s going to be a awesome next chapter! High-Fives! XOXO
it was a long ride but we made it! phew! p.s. the kicks got their first walk in NZ and they are so comfy!!
I’m just trying to imagine driving a stick with the opposite hand, and it’s frustrating me just thinking about it!
Okay, so here is something I’ve been wondering, and seeing some things on facebook has somewhat cleared it up: so you left your dog back in the States? I was wondering how you would go about transporting her. I don’t know what I would do if I left my dogs behind! I don’t blame you for talking to her via Skype!
yes, i am sad to leaver her, but i could not quarantine her for that long. it would be too much! skype to the rescue.
i feel like i just read a recap of our last few days–minus the puking! we just traveled to OZ….so many similarities oh my. Flat whites are a highlight. I just divide by 4 to convert the kJs…it is rough but i figure close enough 🙂 can´t wait to hear about your adventures! i love NZ!
man, we should have traveled together! misery loves company! haha
So amazed at all that is going on in your life right now. Just as you say to me, change is amazing and God is working through you guys. Isn’t it crazy to watch Him work?! What would otherwise be scary becomes peaceful when you know its His hand guiding. 🙂
Love you! And hope you’re feeling 100% better after the stomach issues. No fun!
change is amazing, if we embrace it. Right?! oh its such a learning experience too! Glad we can be that support for each other friend. Hugs. xoxo
How fun! Glad ya’ll finally made it there safely! have fun and send me a postcard!!!!! xoxo
oh you know i will! send me your address!
oh my what an adventure you guys had, hope everything starts to feel more comfortable and like “home” soon for you guys
its a big change, no phone or social media outside the house, but i think its a good thing. ya know?
Oh wow that is one intense trip, Lindsay! Glad you survived it in one piece. I get motion sickness easily…totally empathize with the vomit in the hair…hope the husband was just as empathetic, haha!
he sure was. poor guy, i got throw up on his shoes too. brand new! haha. I was laughing after. Oh the stories.
I’m so glad you got there safely! You were in my thoughts and prayers this weekend <3 I have been sick on planes before (the hair thing is the worst!!) so I can totally sympathise! I'm sorry you had such a bad flight, but NZ sounds AWESOME! Love the barefoot thing! I'm so jealous…maybe I'll come visit 😉
Haha I love that driving on the left side is confusing you! I remember having the opposite problem when we were in America, and had a couple of close calls with driving on the wrong side! 😛
Thank you friend. I felt those prayers! so amazing! and i need you here to teach me how to drive. that would be awesome!
oh my gosh this is so great and scary! thank you for catching us up….much to adjust to. i am sure you will have moments to freak out but you live where you can wear no shoes and it is summer 🙂 yay!
hows the wine?
oh my, the wine is the best ever and so affordable. All the vineyards around me! i love it! come start one here with me. K?
We must’ve crossed paths in the sky on Friday night/ Saturday morning 🙂 I wish we had been headed south, like you!! That island life is a good one – I hope you two are enjoying yourselves, the kilos & the “other” side of the road!
oh we totally must have. Bummer we couldn’t meet up. that would have been fun! are you home and freezing now?
Yay! You made it! And after the flight there you might just stay, right!?
Have fun being the cool kid with the weird accent! I’m totally jealous of all the fun you’ll have exploring and learning the norm down there! 🙂
haha, yes. hoping the flight back in way better! i learned my lesson with ambien.. EEK!!
Oh no, I’m sorry to hear about your bad flight. Getting boat or plane sick is awful…you’re stuck and there’s no way of getting off. I’m glad that you managed to keep your positive attitude with vomit in your hair. 😉 Can’t wait for more updates about the new place! Such an exciting adventure…
at least its a funny story. RIght? haha. I think the vomit was more on my husband than on me. poor guy!
Wow, I’m really impressed: NZ!! That’s a big deal!
Lindsay, can I ask what your usual breakfast is?
I need to gain and don’t exercise, so I’m wondering what would be more appropriate for my situation …
Also, have you ever tried the “Enjoy Life’ granola bars?
yes, i have tried those bars. another good bar is perfect foods bar. they have a higher calorie bar that is good for part of breakfast. Also, try full fat goats milk or yogurt in protein shakes. Thats good too! email me if you need more ideas Sarah!
Thanks…I’dd love to email you but can’t find your email address here on your site! No rush — I know your busy 😉
Wow, definitely a whirlwind! I hope to make it to NZ some day!! Enjoy your new home 🙂
Oh my, Lindsay.. quite the adventure you’ve had the past few days. I’m sorry to hear you were so sick on the flight.. not fun! all the conversions from kj, kilos, etc. sound confusing lol but i’m sure you’ll figure them out 🙂 Can’t wait to hear more stories and adventures from you!!
yes, can you teach me the conversion table please.? hehe. or rather, just come visit!
Oh, lady! Hope the rest of your stay in NZ is way less eventful than you trip there!
haha, yes. makes for good stories though, right? I learned my lesson with ambien!
WOW! Long traveling time! I feel your pain, I am so glad you are on land and to your destination!!!!
HOW cute the pic is of you and your hubby!!! <3
Happy Monday! xoxo
long travel, but worth it….i hope! haha.
Aaahhh! I recognise all those foods, lol! 😀 So excited for you, lvoely! <3 Hehehe…it's fun having the srange accent and being the odd one out, isn't it?! And I totally remember figuring out the kj – cal conversion – in the end I downloaded an app onto my iphone to make it easy peasy! Otherwise I was so confused! ANd Lisa's hummus and Vogels bread are amazing! 😀 Keep an eye out for Kind bars, they have them in NZ – yummy! <3 Sounds like you had an epic journey – those long haul ones are intense, eh? And you're going to start adding "aye" onto all your sentences now like a proper kiwi! 😉 EEEEEEEK!!!!!! I'm so excited you're in mine and the Kiwi's stomping ground, I just wish we were there too! <3 ENJOY! xyx
I don’t have a phone here! eek! maybe you know a best way to get a cool phone or something affordable with social media. thoughts?
Well, a journey, indeed, but glad to hear you made it safe and sound!! good luck adjusting and getting settled in 🙂
thank you. I need that luck. haha.
Wow…intense (and LONG) day of travel! The plane episode with the throwing up and everything sounds almost like it could be out of a movie, and it also sounds so frustrating and rough! Sorry the trip was so hard. Glad you and James are settled now though! Excited for your time with your MIL, learning how to use the weights & drive the car & work the treadmill, and for the newness of the adventure ahead. So glad God goes before us and is also right beside (and in!) us throughout the entire journey. We’re in it with you guys from afar!
it makes for a good story though,eh? Can’t thank you enough for all your wonderful prayers and knowledge yipeeee!
lol..too many great things to comment about. my fave part maybe was that you immediately went to sign up at a gym! love that – hardcore sister!!
thats what i did. LOL through them all. Oh and the poor husband got more throw up on his new shoes. forgot to add that. haha.
Oh my goodness! What a trip! Glad you are safe and comfortable =) I don’t know what’s worse.. the dog poop smell or the throw up smell… lol!! Def need a glass of wine after that!!
haha, i know! the wine saved me!
what an adventure! I am so happy to hear you guys made it there safely and that everything is falling into place 🙂 I can’t wait to read about teh NZ adventures 🙂
we did indeed. I needed a good day or two to unwhind after that. sheesh!
that backyard is absolutely beautiful!!! i hope you’re settling in, enjoying the new cuisine, and learning that darned metric system!!! 🙂 i love that i get to live vicariously through your adventure!
i love that backyard. It peaceful and just what we need. 😛
Oh my gosh I’m sorry you had such a bad flight!! But I’m glad you made it to NZ and am so excited to hear about your wonderful journey and experiences there! 😀
journey has begun. i think its going to a crazy one! how’s the wedding planning going?
Holy cow!! Quite a crazy few days!! Glad you are there now though. Such fun!
holy cow is right. haha. but we are good now, phew!
Phew! You made it…sounds like a bumpy trip, but I’m glad you made it and are in the process of settling in!
bumpy but funny now. haha, gotta laugh at yourself.
WOW, your trip has already been so eventful! That’s awful about getting sick on the plane…but glad you made it there safely 🙂 Enjoy all that NZ wine!
oh amber the wine made up for that sickness. loving it!
AWwwwwww, I’m so glad you guys are safe and sound and getting settled in!!!!!! I was thinking about you on your long travel day!!!! How amazing is your journey??? Do you know how long you’re going to be there for???
Have a great day doll!!!
xxoo

Wow–WHAT a journey! That’s really rad they offer GF meals on flights. Good thing for you 🙂 I am SO excited to see your adventures across the globe! Glad you made it safe. Love you!
i love air new zealand for that! and the meals are so tasty. Gosh, we are getting spoiled. MIss you and love you.
Love that quote….so true. 🙂 My heart goes out to your miserable flight…never ever fun to be ill on a plane. BOO!
not fun at all, but at least now we can laugh.
Oh dang girl. 🙁 What a rough start. Hopefully you guys get settled and into the swing of things soon. I can’t wait to read about your adventures!! You have been so blessed to live in such amazing places!
its been a process but all good! our the journey, you know how it is. how are you feeling?
Wow! What a time! I can’t believe all of the changes you have had to go through so fast. It must be really cool to be the one with the cool accent :p I prayed for you and the Hubs this morning and I hope you guys are doing well 😀
oh allie, i knew i loved you for a reason! your prayers are amazing! thank you!
OH MY GOODNESS….craziest weekend in the whole world. I am so sorry you got so sick and on an airplane…that is the worst! You passed out!?!?! NOOOO!!! I am so happy you made it safe and sound and you are right, every now and then without the internet is awesome! Need a picture of your awesome new phone:)
yes, and no phone either! we are totally disconnected. But I have a feeling it will be good for us. HOw are you?! miss you!
Everyone who loves the show Flight of the Concords just died laughing at the dial up internet part and the cell phone from 1999 – seriously you guys need to start watching that show.
Anyway – I’m sorry but not surprised the ambien thing happened – remember I’ve seen what no food, exhaustion and alcohol do to you – that bartender in St John is still telling the story I’m sure – also I’m so sorry for everyone on the plain that had to smell your vomit and dog poo shoes – I mean someone get those people a complimentary drink!
Ha! James loves that show! and yes, i felt bad for him. totally remembered that st. johns trip.this time was way worse. Laughing at it now, phew!
Ummm..wow. What a trip. Glad you’re safely there, though!!!!
yes, we are. so when are you coming to visit.
Wow…ugh what a trip! I am so sorry all of that went down during the travels! But it’s good that you are settling in quickly 🙂 Can’t wait to hear more!
can’t wait to update more, once we figure out this whole life thing. haha. HOw’s the week for you? l
Oh yuk!!!!! So sorry. Nothing worse than being sick while traveling. I’ve taken ambien a few times. It just lets me sleep for 3 hours then I’m up I mean up!!! Gives me weird dreams too. :/
i passed out for 7 hours. crazy,eh? at least the flight went by fast.
sounds like quite a trip. Enjoy the adventure and post lots of info about food there! 🙂
i will for sure post food! can’t wait to get out and buy more.
oh man!!! barfing on a plane and then waking up wearing it? that sounds absolutely awful my friend 🙁 But I am glad you are past that and getting settled. It honestly sounds like a lot of fun and a lot of learning to be had, despite some homesickness, I bet (I think WE all miss you more than anything!). This is going to be a wonderful journey for you two!!
yes, and then poor hubs had it all over his shirt and shoes. haha, kinda funny now.
oh LC – sounds like the trip was definitely a bit catastrophic, but so glad to hear you landed safe and soundly and are settling in! i cant wait to see all the pictures!
it was a classic cotter moment. gotta love those! you need to skype the hubs soon!
WOW that is some journey to your new “home” my friend. I’m SO glad you got there safely, despite the sickies on the plane, that must have been AWFUL. 🙁
I love that you’re getting settled in nicely, enjoying some lovely NZ wine and getting acclimated to what’s to come next for you guys. Only great things, I am sure!! miss you already!!
you know me, wine comes first! vineyward awaits!
Boo! Sorry about the travel yuckies but I’m glad you are doing better! This update made me smile…so glad y’all are getting settled! Enjoy your time sweetness!
Love <3
well if you are smiling, then i am too!! love to hear from you.
OH LINDS! Sorry about the travel sickness – and the dog poop! That probably contributed to your throwing up. Ha. I’m just so glad y’all are there and getting settled and acclimated to things in NZ. I can’t wait to continue following along in your adventure. And I’ll email you my Skype info! xoxo
yes, skpe number please! oh and it was a classic cotter trip. funny now, eh?
Glad y’all made it safely 🙂
I’m sorry the travel was epic, but I kind of don’t feel bad for you and your nice tropical new home. 😉
I also love that the first things you did were get food at the grocery store and sign up at the gym! I would have done the same thing.
I’ve been in the throwing up while flying situation before and that BLOWS. I’m so sorry you went through that. Despite my seeeming lack of empathy above. Hehe….
hey, its funny now isn’t it? thats the important part. Hard love it good. I’ll take it from you and you only!
And breathe. You had quite the adventure. I am def reminded of my flight over.
I hope you are soaking up everything and feeling better. What a long journey.
let your new travels begin. And keep me posted on when you’re ready for visitors next year:) mwahaha
yes, i totally can relate to you now! and about that visit. come soon!
Wow what a flight. So sorry you got sick. But probably good thing on the sleeping most of the flight right? Sounds like things have been a bit hectic so far. Hope they settle down and you guys get settled in. Looking forward to lots of pictures!
yep, totally passed out! blessing in dsguise, right?
Oh my goodness!! hahahahah I’m glad you made it safe, even if it was a barf-covered, dog-poop smelling trip! You are such a trooper, my friend! xo
it wouldn’t be a journey an other way, right? haha. miss you!
oh dear… plane ride sounds less than awesome but glad you two have arrived safe and sound.
that car ride is priceless…I would start walking everywhere if I had to drive opposite. Forget that, I can’t even drive stick in North America. I’d be doomed on the other side! 😉
Haha, now you know how I feel converting all the time from Canadian to American conversions! kg to lb. meters to feet. kilometers to miles…;) You are gonna be prepped and ready to come visit post-NZ!
Can’t wait to hear more and thanks for taking the time to post! much love to you and James down under :).
yes, now i totally relate to you! ms conversion queen!
Whoa glad you guys finally made it, what a chaotic journey! Can’t wait to hear about all the adventures! 🙂
safe and sound now. Goodness!
When we sad adventure, that was no joke! One thing I’ve learned is that rolling with the punches can be quite literal. I know it’s all confusing now, but you will get there and it will be old hat to you in no time. I do think the driving would be really hard though. I’m not that great on the right side…I can’t even imaging the left.
PS, I like you having internet for completely selfish reasons! Have a great day my friend!
haha, no joke is right! i am so rolling with the punches. they are coming one at a time and i can handle. glad i stil have internet to vent!
Good to hear you guys made it down there safe & sound – can’t wait to see/read more about your new home 🙂
Sounds like a crazy trip!!!!!! Hope ya’ll are doing well!
thank you gen! now i know how you feel with all the conversions. haha
been stalking you on facebook 🙂
good! cause i stalk you. xoxo
So happy that you’re finally starting to settle down after such an exhausting move. I felt drained just reading the recap!
My Uncle used to live in Christchurch, and he loved it, so I do hope you’ll grow to feel equally as fond of your new home. Please, if you haven’t already, try Kumara sweet potatoes (I saw the mention of Kumaras on one of the things in your shopping!) We used to be able to buy them in the UK as imports and they were my favourite food in the whole world, even better than Kabocha squash, but for some reason supermarkets over here haven’t stocked them in years. I miss them loads – I would move to NZ just so I could eat every single Kumara potato over there.
xxx
i’ve had 2 kumara already! i am hooked!! love these jess. Oh and come visit. That would be great. <3
O my goodness!! So sorry you had a crummy flight and such! So glad to hear you two are safe and sound in NZ though 🙂
Since you asked about my weekend…..Friday I ran 3.26 miles and went to a wedding. Saturday I went to the kids Christmas play practice(I help with it) ran 5.5 miles, and then babysat three kids that evening and watched Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and had an 8 year old fall asleep on me. Sunday I went to church, then out to lunch with a family that is like a second family to me, went to a friends house to celebrate her birthday that is today and ate way too many carbs yesterday and my stomach feels like I want to replace it 🙁
well that is a good weekend despite the tummy troubles. Way to go on the running! you should be so proud!
Whew! What an intense trip! I’m glad you made it and are starting to get settled. I’m excited to hear about all your new experiences!
thank you lauren. Your support had been awesome! did i tell you that? <3
It’s amazing how much you have accomplished in so little time. It seems you found a better Internet source. I hope so…we want to keep up with your adventure! Yes, I wish the timing was such that you were there next fall, but still it’s like a sneak preview for me. Enjoy!!
oh i wish you were here now! that would be even more fun! but sneak preview will have to do.
Wow. What a trip. Glad you are finally getting settled. I’ve been without Internet at home for a week. I LOVE it. I go to Starbucks and get so much done in an hour or so. I’m not wasting my day surfing the web! Though I am behind on reading blogs. Or even writing my own
totally feel ya on that! ultra productive. I guess starbucks gets a lot of students for that reason. No worries about blogging, just glad to hear from you friend!
You sure have had a full couple of days. 🙂 Love that you’re the cool one with the accent now. 🙂 You deserve to be the cool one after that flight. ha ha!
Can’t wait to keep up with all your NZ adventures. Hugs!
i just wonder how i really sound now. haha. HUgs to you friend!
I’m sorry you had such a bad flight but it’s great that you’re settling in so quickly! You’re too cute, I can’t believe you don’t have real coffee in america haha
I hope you find lots of amazing new things to enjoy in NZ 🙂
& Since you asked, my weekend was hilarious, we walked through the flooded roads and got drenched. Australia really is the land of fire, droughts and floods! Luckily it was small enough to be a good laugh but not bad enough to be a bother, well aside from the gutters, exploding drains and cars that were parked in low land. It all looks fine now, aside from the large quantities of peoples driveways/gardens that have been washed away and manage to appear in other random places. Life’s gotta make you smile 🙂
p.s. kjs to cal is x 0.239
oh i bet! that sounds adventurous claire! haha. Its all good to laugh now, thankfully. Right? You are a life saver on the Kj;s. AWESOME!
