When I think of someone with TRUE strength, I don’t think about their “stats” per se. Instead, I think about their persistence. Just like this quote says. My husband has true strength. Yes I know I gush about him all the time, but hey, I’m allowed to. I adore that man!
His true strengths shines when he listens to his body, stays positive through injuries, smiles through the pain (emotional and physical), and most importantly, sacrifices HIS wants for OUR needs.
That to me is TRUE strength. And you know what? TRUE strength can overflow into the lives of others, just like that river, with persistence.
This workout came from the hubs’ current strength trainer, with a few of my own exercises here and there. It’s a test of strength, the physical strength. But I have a feeling you will use that TRUE strength to persevere through it.

LC
True strength = getting through each day wit a smile on your face, and love in your heart.
I love how much you adore your husband.
My quads are burning just reading that workout!
True strength to me is trusting in ones abilities and never losing faith.
I’m enjoying an Asian pear Kombucha tonight! Yummy!
That is one I need to remember. TRUST in our God given albilities. Well said Marcia!

Aaah, yay for love and marriage and partnerships! <3 It makes me so so happy to see couples full of love and respect and adoration and admiration for one another, it is such a beautiful thing! And that is such a rocking workout too, Lindsay, MUST do it! I say that every time. But I totally dig these 30 minute workouts cause that's my ideal workout duration…rock on! 😀 xyx
yea! i love that we can share these together Yolie! Let me know how it goes if you try it out. Hows the new job?? did you start yet?
i draw true strength from the inspiration i get from others. i think we are all rivers, flowing into a tributary of love and compassion. that way we can each drink from that well when we need to – we can refill our canteens and continue our journey!
i love how poetic you are T! just amazing. Rivers we are, and so we flow together with each other to create one big support!
I just love that quote… and I definitely agree that true strength is persistence, endurance and patience!
yes, now we just need to remember that. Right?
😉
love the way you talk about your husband…too cute!
strength is being able to still stand tall, smile even when everything around you is falling apart
i am working on building my inner strength!
well said Lady! that inner strength is definitely growing this year, isn’t it? I guess we need to be thankful for that. xoxo
It’s funny-when I think of strength, I don’t immediately think of physical strength anymore but emotional and personal strength…great workout!
yes, me too! that is real strength to me. Someone who has more mental and emotional strength than physical. Let me know if you try the workout Jess!
Ahh, everything about this post is SO inspiring!–your adoration for the Hubbs and the ever-apparent love and respect that bonds you together; your words of wisdom (we really CAN do anything, if we have the faith to believe it), and the bangin workout (I must try kettlebells!).
Thank you, Lindsay, for being so wonderfully amazing. I can’t wait to meet you in person! <3
FAITH is huge, I agree. I don;t know what I would do without it. Oh sara, i hope to meet you in person one day too! You amaze me with just your smile. So sincere!
p.s.
Still like the goats milk yogurt?
I am HOOKED! I’ve been eating about one carton/day. 🙂 It’s funny you asked, because I almost tweeted you about it yesterday! Haha…I really love the tangy flavor, and it’s so creamy. A perfect snack on it’s own, but also awesome to cook with! Thanks so much for the recommendation! <3

And you my friend make me smile. Thank you for sharing that with me.

I love your definition of true strength. I definitely see that same strength mirrored in my husband when he chooses my needs over his wants. Beautifully said, lady. 🙂
and it is so inspiring, isnt it? You are Blessed indeed Rach!
you have a wonderful husband!!! it’s too easy to forget how blessed we are to have godly husbands!
we are blessed indeed. Time to spoil them a bit. But remember, your the HOT one. haha.
ummmm so i am kinda obsessed with this post. persistence has been a BIG thing to me lately. when i started my blog i just kinda randomly picked a name without much thought. little did i know how much meaning perseverance would eventually have for me! loving loving loving that quote!
and I remember your blog name for that reason, because you are persistant and STRONG! Love you Julia.
Gahhh loveee it as usual! The kettle ball swings are great… hard but great of course 🙂
and its all withing 30-40 minutes. Hmmm, i think you would like it A LOT! <3
I love that quote! And that workout looks tough! I don’t even know if I could do a single leg burpee haha. I think that strength is definitely about persistence, but also knowing when to give yourself a break and ask for help!
oh yes you could! you are one tough and strong lady! Lindz, you got this. TRY IT!
Awww I just love how much you and your man love each other 🙂 You’ve made my cute-o-meter skyrocket heehee
Great workout too!!
oh yea! that just made my day. Anything to make the Cute-o-meter!
I LOVE YOU LINDSAY!! And I love the Hubs too! 😀
Inner strength is so much more powerful than any amount of physical strength. It doesn’t matter how prepared I am for races or just LIFE situations, if I don’t have that mental strength, then I’m not going to succeed! True strength is God’s love working in me 🙂
you are right my sweet friend. And you know what? We can do all things through CHRIST. amen?!
I love one legged hops! I forget about those!
Oh strength, it is something VERY important to have!
Love you!
and boy are they effective! that we won’t forget. tee hee.
I feel like Tony is my rock too! I think you already know that though.
Oh and I did burpees and thought of you today…you totally kicked my butt and I thank you for it! I will email you soon! xoxo
oh i love that you thought of me. can’t wait for the email. 🙂
Love this definition and I very much agree with it. Someone who just doesn’t give up. That takes real strength.
oh and I firmly believe you display that friend. Why do you think I believe in you so much?! <3
True strength is knowing you can’t always be strong enough on your own. And that’s okay. 🙂
wise words from a wise woman! just learned that myself.
I guess I define true strength as the inner strength to stand up for what you believe in AND to when to stand up and when to shut up!
oh well said friend. And sometimes shutting up is the hardest.
I’m sure he dotes on you JUST as much!!
I like to think so. I am a “lindsay” you know?! hehe.
True strength is not giving up on your dreams not matter how many times you get knocked down.. 🙂
amen to that! And each time we get knocked down, we stand up stronger.
looks like a killer workout! single leg burpees?! I love how intense and short the workouts you describe are- I love efficiency!
totally! Hope you get some time to youself to exercise, relax, etc. I know this is a hard week for you. Almost done!!
I just LOVE it when you talk about your husband – your adoration and love shine through in your words. And it makes me REALLY want to meet him one day, he sounds pretty awesome. Gush away 🙂
i hope you do! But more importantly, I want him to meet YOU!
I completely agree with what Jess said…I absolutely love what you and your husband have cultivated too, it is so beautiful! I aspire to it myself with M, truly!
oh i love you two. One day, we will have triple date and get to share the love!
