Feed me Friday

Don’t worry. I won’t keep you long. I won’t write too much. It is Friday and you (we)need to the those last few brain cells before for the weekend.

So. Feed me Friday. What is this concept?

Simple.

We all need feed each other in same way, some how. Whether it’s through food (made with love), through compliments/encouragement/motivation, through prayer, through quality time.

These are stuftmama’s boys with Healthy Bites. How cute are they?!!

I think that’s why God put us here. To feed each other, to be filled, and to be fed. To nourish each other with love, with respect, with wisdom, with well….FOOD.

Feed me Friday gives you the opportunity to do just that.

Today I leave you with a HEALTHY BITES recipe. I hope that it will FILL you with lots of nourishment. And I hope that you can feed others with it.

PB and Jelly Protein Bites

Prep time:
Cook time:
Total time:
Serves: 15 bites
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup seedless raisins
  • 1/2 cup prunes
  • 2/3 cup slivered almonds
  • 2 heaping tablespoons of organic peanut butter
  • 1 serving berry Vega protein (Or berry whey protein if not vegan)
  • 1/4 cup peanut flour (coconut flour or crushed peanuts optional instead)
  • grape stevia extract
  • 1/3 cup honey
Instructions
  1. blend dried fruit and nuts in food processor then transfer to bowl. Add in your protein powder, peanut butter, peanut flour, grape extract, and stir. Then add in your honey. Mix thoroughly with hands and roll into balls. Place on cookie sheet with parchment paper. Freeze for 30 minutes. Then store in ziplock bag in freezer or fridge for up to 6 weeks.

 

I also want to feed some encouragement to those who are racing this weekend. Tina, Jess, Jo (yes you are racing, you are Sherpa), and anyone else I might have left out….. YOU ARE READY! ENJOY the Miles. All the hard work and dedication will pay off. Smile and sweat your way to the finish line.

YAY so excited MY bites are coming and I will be feeding on those soon LOL! PBJ excitment over here! I hope that I am feeding my friends & family with good positive energy and love. I strive for this everyday as He wants us too. Trying to put down all the negative and breathe in and be fed by Him & the positive. Have a great weekend friend & thank you as always! <3!!

Ooh I do love this! I need to try the vega berry protein. Just ordered me some chocolate. I’m going to be dabbling in pescatarianism (mostly meatless though) so I thought I’d go plant-based for my protein.

i think you will like that! we focus on fish and eggs too. Although I love my GF sausage once a week. THe vega berry is delicious. But chocolate is a favorite for sure!

I love Feed Me Friday. Jason and I are both home today, spending time with Basil (had to rush back to the hosp because his stitches came out!), and we’re just spending time and relaxing. We’ve both been so busy working lately, this is our Feed Me Friday.

The Queen Sherpa!!! You are amazing! Love this post. I thought of you today when Tony and I went on a hike. Your words rang out to me while I was recognizing how incredibly lucky I am to get to go on hikes in the middle of the day with my best friend.

Thanks for the reminder, I need to remember that it’s not all about me and that I need to be a friend and helper more often. I know I find myself swirling down that self centered drain too often and need a Savior to pull me out!

I just pinned your Healthy Bites recipe . . . I will definitely be making these. I usually make a batch of what I call “energy bites” for my husband and me to snack on throughout the week. Similar idea. I like the pb and j flavor combo to change it up a bit. Thanks!
