This week I learned that my top priorities don’t make me money, but they do ENRICH my life.
This week I learned that I need to focus on my words. Making them fruitful and encouraging above all else.
This week I learned a good product starts with the care and passion of the company. Thank you LOVE GROWN GRANOLA!
This week I learned why planking is so effective! DANG!
This week I learned that making Custom Healthy Bites for a special Birdie Friend brings me so much joy!
This week I learned that my phone can’t keep up with me. I think it’s a good thing that I am now forced into slow mode. I take that as a sign from God, yes?
What did you learn this week?
Cheers,
LC

I learned that all you can do is have faith and hope in certain situations that happen in life. I knew this for a long time, but just really remembering that this past week I guess I should say!
Love you! <3

Excellent lessons…I need to work on the language thing myself! Bad habits of word choice left over from the people i hung out with in college and it’s definitely time to let that go.

it makes me so happy too! thank you for always supporting my (our) passions. LOVE YOU!
Ahh, yes, words are so important – they hang in the air far after the sound dissipates.
This week I learned to say, “no” to others in order to say “yes” to myself and that there is no guilt in taking care of my needs.

thats one of the best lessons learned right there. I will follow you!
Love the bible verse! Do you do daily devotions?
i do! i love the jesus calling devo and SHEREADSTRUTH!
Wow I needed this and planking kills ME but I need it and it’s good for me! This week I learned that my limitations go only as far as my mind let’s them
. I learned the more I push myself the better I feel
. I also learned how important family and friends are, yes??!! LOL! Thanks for this post. Excited to get my next Healthy Bites order YAY! Enjoy your weekend Lindsay! Love ya girl!
The mind sure can push us forward or hold us back, but i only if we let it. And yea for healthy bites!
I always think your words are so full of inspiration. I am always more supportive of companies like Love Grown that truly start from love and passion. That’s why I know your Healthy Bites will make it big my friend

Love this little dose of inspiration!
Oh man, planking is definitely effective! I’ve been relying on planks more since I’ve had to step down the high intensity workouts.
This week I learned nobody can love me unless I love myself first. And that everything that happens is meant for a reason, to make us grow more as people and provide inspiration to others if they are in that same position in the future.

Yes! oh what an amazing lesson Lisa. WE need that as a daily reminder. xoxo
A great way for me to start this day.. with this verse. I don’t always know how to deal with the people who use abusive language with me. There words are always subtle, cutting and leave me feeling angry and hurt. Oftentimes after many conversations like this, my instinct is to lash out out them, leaving me feeling even worse about myself… always better to say your words after you have disconnected from the emotional pain, and even then some people will not acknowledge you (let go of your expectations of others). This verse was meant to be in my inbox this morning. Wish I could just give them a silent blessing and say goodbye but unfortunately I am forced to deal with them from time to time. This serves as a reminder that you will never regret the high road.

oh gosh, i KNOW exactly what you mean! i often wish i would love my voice in those moments. Maybe we need to learn to pray first. yes?
Great lessons girl!! I love Love Grown!! They are the sweetest people ever!
I am learning that my body needs more sleep! I haven’t worked out in 4 days and have been napping instead.
Brittany @ Delights and Delectables recently posted..It is HERE!
that sounds really nice. I bet you didn’t realize how much your body needs those little rest periods too, yes?
I learnt that sometimes listening to your body is harder then you imagined. I also learnt that doing pilates moves on exercise balls is very hard (!)
Lou recently posted..mooning around
yes to all the above!! Our brains never shut off, right? and pilates is sneaky hard!
I learned that perseverance pays off. I learned that hard work is sometimes worth it and sometimes not, but I still haven’t learned how to tell the difference. I learned that slowing down and just sitting (or in my case coloring!) is relaxing and being still isn’t wasting time.
Wow, not bad for one week, huh?
Oh I also learned that I have some of the world’s best and also some of the world’s worst (read: ungrateful) students ever.

Must be one of those learning weeks for everyone! I can definitely say my week was full of learning lessons too- some big, some small, all important!
Learned the lesson of “don’t wear your bike shoes while walking up and down stairs” the hard way. Carbon fiber soles and carpet don’t mix!!
actually…me and stairs don’t mix but I started learning that lesson at the age of 4.
LOL! i’ve done that. It’s not pretty, lesson learned! hope you are well friend. miss ya!
haha i think it’s a rite of passage maybe!
all is well! miss you too! how is everything down in Austin!?

I learned that running a trail race uphill in sand is really hard! I learned that my New Balance 110s don’t keep that sand out. But the best was that I was reminded, this week, of how sensitive, sweet and kind my 8 year old son is and how important it is for me to acknowledge and praise him for these super awesome qualities.

I love this post! This week I learned that chia seeds are very versatile & a great way to add a bit MORE nutrition into my body. How on earth did you use 5gb of data? We’re you streaming music?
Have a great week & thanks for stopping by my blog this morning!
amen! i love me some chia! and i learned that i was streaming music all the time! EEK! I had no idea. Sheesh. Sad but true.
Lots of learning going on here! I have learned that summer is amazing and goes by so fast, so it’s important to savor every moment.

I always find it so crazy when a word or a phrase can smack me right in the face with perspective or renewed thinking. It’s such an incredible thing – the written and spoken word, huh?

yes yes yes! and it’s totally a god thing! he knows what’s best. Thank goodness!
I love this! And the one about words? So SO true. I need to keep that in mind and be more mindful sometimes about what I say and how I act. Sometimes my words aren’t what I mean or intend and it doesn’t take more than two seconds to think first, then speak, right? happy weekend!!
jobo recently posted..Thoughts and stuff. In bullets.
thats me ALL the time. I say one thing but mean another and then whoops, can’t take it back. Sometimes i just need to be quiet. yes?
Whew, that plank diagram puts things in perspective! I wonder what a push-up or sit-up would look like

I’ve learned that time is precious and fleeting. I’ve also learned that some things are really worth the wait. The last big one is that worrying gets you nowhere! I have to continue to be positive even when I don’t know the future. I have to look at everything that happens as an adventure and believe that I have the control to make it a positive. You always make me put things into perspective! Thank you for doing that! xoxo

WOOHOO for planking! I have recently started (legitimately) doing the plank a day challenge and it has been wonderful. I can tell a difference in my posture & my consciousness of my abdominal muscles during other training. Keep it up!
Yes, words are SO important and can influence how others feel & respond to you. As women of the Lord, we must always be aware of how we are saying things and our tone- it’s a double edge sword & we need to use it to help and protect!
i totally agree, on both! the plank benefits and especially the words. Something i am striving towards daily, to be aware of tone. AMEN!
I learned that I need to set a schedule for myself with this new lifestyle I have. I get zero things done when given too much freedom!
I LOVE the plank diagram!! Stealing!

i know that feeling! it’s hard. And then you start to feel ovwehelmed. right? But youre planner, you can do it!

Oh I am so so glad you shared that plank lesson you learned. Planks/pushups are the only form of strength training I do and now I am feeling better about it.
What a great week of learning and I could not agree more that the things that bring us happiness in life are definitely not money.
good, keep planking, keep push uping. hehe. Stay strong as a runner! cheers friend.
We are doing a series on the book of james right now at my church and this week it was all about the words that pass through your lips. And not just the actual words but the way you speak them. It was so relavant, especially when dealing with a trying pre-schooler!
Lindsay @ Fuel My Family recently posted..Weekend Wrapup 8/5
oh i love the book of James for that reason! Take notes for me and then share them with me when I have kids. I need it!
Wow – you never miss a chance to learn Lindsay – amazing! I’ve learnt that if I want to achieve something I need to prioritise it and I need to be brave about it. I need to respect my own choices.
Petra recently posted..Suck it up sunshine and do your job!
I totally get that. Being brave to focus on priorities. Its like we are blinded. Instead open your eyes and go for it!
Your words are ALWAYS so inspiring to me! You’ve definitely had some road blocks lately but you stay so positive and upbeat throughout.

well your comments are always uplifting to me! so thank you.
Dang, you are making me think that planks are actually a good thing:) I LOVE how you said to choose words that motivate. I truly think you are the best example of that girl!
oh janae, you are too kind. But thank you! choosing words to SAY versus type is much harder. I need to learn to focus on the tone and to slow my words. I’m getting there, lots of prayer. haha. How are you cute mama to be?
That days devotional really struck me, too. Especially when I realized how many words I share over the internet. Holy guacamole I need to think and pray more before i type!
I’m so “blurt” I don’t even spell check.
I disabled my facebook account temporarily (you can always get it back) while I focus on this.
In my mind I thought of you (<—don't be scurred!) as I reckoned with this. Because YOU …you have it down IMO on the webs (And I am 99.998765998% sure IRL too). #rolemodelyesyou #acceptcomplimentandownit

oh girl, i do the same. another reason i am taking a little sabbatical week. to watch my words. I need to be more careful in all areas, even my thoughts. amen?!
Beautiful lessons! I loved the quote about conversations, and to speak with grace. Very true, and very important. I can be a bit sloppy about this and it’s something I’m learning requires a lot of work and thinking. And the planking picture is gold! I want to tape that up in my gym!
Have a great week
Thanks for sharing some really awesome lessons!
